Stunning Beachfront Paradise! This architectural mid-century modern home sleeps 8+ with vaulted ceilings offering panoramic views of the ocean, Olympics, Coupeville Ferry, marine traffic and all the wildlife you can imagine! Beachcomb, watch dolphins, whales, seals, porpoises, eagles and all types of native birds. Adventure out kayaking, ride bikes to jump on ferry to Port Townsend or explore Fort Casey. Bring the whole family or enjoy the seclusion yourself in the hot tub or at the firepit! The space You will enter our home walking up the wrap around deck to the keyless entry lock on the front door. Upon entering you will immediately notice the vaulted ceiling, beautiful design and stunning views from the two walls of windows in the Front Room/Dining area. A local architect built this home for himself and has been referred to as the "Butterfly Home". Take a look out the telescope or put on a fun record to unwind and take it all in. With a comfy, roomy couch (sleeps 2) you can enjoy the 64"Smart HDTV with expanded cable choices and Roku available with your sign on. A 65" stylish ceiling fan with remote keeps you comfortable with circulating airflow. There are books, games and puzzles in the tv credenza and a weather station on top. We have several books from local authors on the history and wildlife on Whidbey, as well as a series from a famous fiction writer. Turn on the cozy gas fireplace and take in the ambiance of the space. Tucked in next to the fireplace you will find a pull down dedicated workspace set up with fast wifi (291-378mbps), and a comfortable chair. On a clear day you can see the stunning Olympic Mountain range. Don't miss the painting next to the entertainment center that names all the mountains in the distance! Dining Room: The dining room table seats eight with plenty of lighting for dining, games and fun! A turn to your left shows you the new custom kitchen including Herringbone heated floors, new cabinets and all black stainless appliances including a refrigerator with icemaker, electric range, microwave and dishwasher. We have a Keurig Coffee Maker with assorted options of coffees (both caffeinated and decaf), as well as a drip Mr. Coffee Maker and a grinder if you like to grind your own beans. Assorted teas (both caffeinated and decaf) are above the coffee area. A smores station and backup supplies has you ready for fun at the fire pit! You are all set for staying in and cooking with our gourmet cookware or just enjoying the gorgeous kitchen to prepare your charcuterie and wine! Well stocked with pots, pans, appliances and dishes as a cook's kitchen should be, your ready to cook or bake to your heart's content. If cooking is not in your plans there are lots of options close by to pickup lovely local meals! (See our Guidebook) Heating & Cooling: Our home has a new furnace with air conditioning (2022)! We also have a hard wired Generac generator for those stormy days if the power goes out, your vacation is not interrupted! Guest Room: Wander down the hall to your left into the first guest room with a king size Dream Cloud mattress and plush bedding. 44" Smart HDTV w/Roku. Matching night stands equipped with charging stations, travel power adapter and extra charging capabilities. Room darkening shades. The closet contains two queen inflatable beds (with bedding) extra blankets, pillows, etc. There is room in the Living Room for inflatable beds. In the hall closet you will find a iron and ironing board, a drying rack and cleaning supplies. There is a full length mirror on the wall in the hall. Enter the Bunk Retreat: This room had double bunk beds, XL Memory Foam mattresses with colorful bedding. Filled with games, books and toys for all ages, here you will find an XBox 1S with 2 controllers and 11 games. A 32" Smart TV w/Roku. Snuggle up with comfy pillow game chairs. Extra queen inflatable bed with bedding, hangers, luggage rack and extra bedding. Room darkening shades! This room works great for a girls weekend too! Enter the Guest Bathroom: A spa like space with heated floors, tile and glass shower including shampoo, conditioner, body wash; floating sink cabinet with hand soap and body lotion. Tissues and toilet paper. Wall mounted make up mirror, hair dryer and curling iron. Spa towels! Spacious Laundry Area: Large capacity, top loading, Whirlpool washer and dryer with laundry soap, dryer sheets, fabric softener and stain remover. Additional towels and linens, beach/hot tub towels in cabinets. First aid kit, flashlights, batteries and hot tub supplies in drawers. Master Suite: As you enter you immediately notice the stunning view of the Puget Sound through the large sliding doors. Light filtering blinds with room darkening curtains over sliding doors. A king size Dream Cloud mattress with cozy bedding await. Night stands with travel adapter and additional charging cube. 44" Smart HDTV w/Roku, built in cabinets, two separate closets with plenty of hangers, luggage rack, extra bedding and a hotel safe. A Yoga matt, roller and two 8# weights. Ottoman for extra storage. Locking bedroom door. On Suite Master Bath: Heated floors! Spa retreat, tile with glass walk in shower with shampoo, conditioner, body wash; floating sink cabinet with hand soap and body lotion. Tissue and toilet paper. Wall mounted makeup mirror, hair dryer and curling iron included. Spa towels. Exterior patio: Wrap around deck. Entry onto deck requires steps on all three areas. Outdoor patio table with seating for 8 with umbrella. Two separate seating areas, one with two chairs and table, the other off the master suite with a couch, side table and two ottomans. You step off the back deck to a 6 person hot tub with plenty of jets and a fantastic view of the water! Study stairs to beach. Gas BBQ grill, extra patio chairs, a fire pit with 6 adirondack chairs and a fabulous art piece with three dolphins to take your picture with! Guest access You will have access to the entire home, with the exception of locked cabinets in the home labeled Housekeeping and Private. In the garage you will have access to the main garage with the exception of the locked door into the basement. Other things to note Whidbey Island Naval Air Station does fighter practice in the area, and while fun to watch, it can get loud at times. The current schedule is available by doing an internet search on Whidbey Island Naval Air Flight Schedule. Their schedule is posted one week in advance. Just a short walk down the street, our guest can enjoy Admirals Cove Beach Club which includes a heated outdoor swimming pool (available Memorial Day through Labor Day), a playground with equipment and a basketball court. Two security cameras are on our property. One on the front of the garage and one over the front door. These cameras are not turned on when we have guests staying at our home. Our property is covered in beach rocks, driftwood and landscaping. House Rules: No smoking inside or outside.
