Wadi Rum Eco Camp
Wadi Rum Eco Camp
Description
Our authentic Bedouin Camp The camp lying against red rocks in the heart of the protected desert, and surrounded by magnificent vistas on all sides of both incredible rock formations and wide open desert plains. The camp is situated by a small hill that is the perfect location to witness spectacular sunrise and sunsets. We are a small, traditional and authentic camp, which is equipped with a kitchen, toilets, and hot water showers powered all by solar energy. The space We have nine traditional Bedouin tents that can host a range of two to six people. These waterproof tents are furnished with single beds, including comfortable mattresses, blankets, pillows, and ceiling. lights. If you would prefer to setup a bed outside to sleep under the stars, this can also be arranged. This is a great way to experience the starry night sky while still enjoying all of the comforts of camp. Other things to note Breakfast starts at 7:00 and Dinner starts at 19:00. We serve traditional Bedouin food, Zarb (chicken and vegetables roasted under the sand), or Sinea (beef or chicken with vegetables in a casserole style) with rice, Arabic salads, and bread. Mansaf, the Jordanian national dish, can be prepared upon request. Breakfast is also in the traditional Bedouin style, including hummus, halawa (sweet paste made from pistachios), eggs, beans, cheese, jam, biscuits, and tea or coffee. We would be happy to prepare vegetarian dishes upon request, though the traditional Bedouin cuisine is largely vegetarian/vegan anyway, so there are always meat-free options available. Please let us know both when you make your reservation and when you arrive (just to remind us!) if you have any special dietary requirements.
