It is only two miles from Lionshead and three miles to Vail village and is on the free ski bus route, with the bus running into Lionshead and Vail villages every 30 minutes during the winter. The townhome also has hot tub access and there is a heated swimming pool for summer months. And this home has free WiFi available to guests, so you can always stay connected during your stay. Parking Notes: There is free parking for 2 vehicles. There is one designated parking spot per unit, as well as open parking. Damage Waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Upon arrival, you will check in with us and receive a packet which contains the address and driving directions to your rented property, keys to the property and other information which you will find helpful. You will also receive a parking pass & a pass to the pool/hot tub area. If you are arriving after our regular hours, there is an area in our office which is open 24 hrs/day where we will leave your packet with your name on it. If you have any issues while you are staying at one of our properties, there is a telephone number on your check in information sheet which you may call 24hrs/day if there is an emergency. There is free, unassigned parking at the Ptarmigan Townhomes complex which is located in West Vail on the Gore Creek. There is 1 parking spot for you outside your townhome and another area labeled “Guest Parking” if you have a 2nd car. The free shuttle bus stop is right outside the complex and the bus runs into Vail every 30 minutes during the winter from 6AM to 2 AM and every 40 minutes during the rest of the year from 6AM to 1AM. The distance into Vail is only 3 miles if you want to drive in. The parking in both Vail and Lionshead is paid parking during the ski season. There are numerous hiking and biking trails nearby. The Ptarmigan complex has a swimming pool which is available during the summer months. There is also a year round hot tub for guests. The complex is in close proximity to the Safeway Grocery store and City Market. There are also 2 liquor stores nearby as well as a Christy Sports store if you need anything sports related. And there are numerous restaurants and take-out places just across the highway. The free shuttle bus stop is right next to the Ptarmigan complex. The bus runs into Vail every 30 minutes during the winter from 6AM to 2 AM and every 40 minutes during the rest of the year from 6AM to 1AM. The distance into Vail is only 2 miles if you want to drive in. Uber operates in the valley as well as several taxi services. The Ptarmigan Complex does not allow pets and it is a non-smoking environment.
