Enjoy a relaxing countryside stay, in a quaint cottage, surrounded by beautiful gardens on a lifestyle block in Maramarua. The space Meadowbush Rest is situated on our lifestyle block in the Waikato. Located down a path, separated from the main house, facing out over the garden. It is made up of three main buildings. The cottage with a loft style double bed, the kitchenette and indoor dining area in the caravan, which can also sleep an extra two small people (on the caravan couches) and the bathroom building with modern composting toilet and shower. There is also an outdoor bath tucked around the corner. All buildings are joined by a deck, which is partly covered. Meadowbush Rest would suit a couple or small family. We can provide a portacot on request. Children can enjoy playing one of the board games provided. We welcome guests to stay at Meadowbush Rest and enjoy our little spot of peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful native bush and fruit tree orchard - all planted by us. The front porch is a lovely place to start the day with breakfast in the morning sun, and the outdoor bath is the perfect spot to enjoy the night sky, which on a clear night is rather spectacular. We have created a path through the bush to watch the sunset. If it's raining, on request, guests can also enjoy the Greenhouse as a fully covered outdoor place to sit and escape the rain or just enjoy the view from the caravan. The stay includes a simple breakfast for all our guests. Made up of freshly baked bread, spreads, fresh eggs from our chickens, in season fruit, muesli & yogurt. We also provide a selection of teas and coffee. We will also provide homemade bath salts and bubble bath to enjoy with the outdoor bath. All linen is provided for guests - including bathrobes. The whole property is fully off the grid and eco-friendly. It is equipped with power and Wifi. The mobile reception can also be a bit patchy. so we suggest using wifi calling. Guest access Guests will have access to the cottage, caravan, bathroom, outdoor bath, nearby bush to watch the sunset and the greenhouse. We love to show guests around the property - please let us know if you'd like a tour. Other things to note Please note: - The cabin is fully insulated and has double glazed windows. The caravan is not so well insulated. - The bed is upstairs in a loft-style mezzanine, so may not be suitable for people with mobility problems. - The toilet is a modern composting toilet. - The outdoor bath is very private at night but do bring togs/swimwear if you need more privacy. - The property is powered by solar panels, so be mindful of your power usage. - Please note, due to our off grid status we can not run heaters. Bring extra clothing if you are concerned. - There is no TV, so please bring your own devices should you wish. - Richard or Vicki may use the greenhouse, which is directly in front of the cottage/caravan but will wait until after 10am - We have a cat named Boston - Please try to keep him from inside any of the buildings.
