Whip's River House

Transport yourself to a magical 1850's riverfront home in the tiny hamlet of New Baltimore. With over 200 ft of private Hudson River frontage, it's a short walk through the back yard to dipping your toes in the water. Just over two hours drive from NYC, come enjoy a riverside bbq or evening fellowship around the fire pit under the stars. Take in spectacular views from the upper and lower porches while bald eagles and herons grace the sky. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The space The house has four bedrooms and sleeps eight. There are two ensuite bathrooms and one shared bath. On the ground there is a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table and a cast iron stove to make it extra warm during the winter months. There is additional barstool seating at the large counter. Across the hall you'll find the living room with two sofas, a wood burning fireplace and views of the Hudson River. There is a flat screen smart TV and for old school guests, there is a record player and plenty of vinyl for your enjoyment. We're stocked up on cards and board games for entertainment. For epic views of the river, step into the glass enclosed porch decorated with comfy seating and side tables. This is the perfect spot to sip a coffee, marvel at the sunrise over the Hudson, bird watch or stargaze. Birding books, binoculars and telescope are provided. Upper Level: -Primary bedroom with king-sized bed and ensuite bath with two sinks and jacuzzi tub. River views galore! -Directly across the hall is a bedroom with queen-sized bed and river views as well, shared bath with stall shower. -Down the hall is a bright bedroom with matching twin beds, shared bath. -For those attempting to get some work done, there is a cozy work space with a desk, chair and river views for those moments of procrastination. Lower Level: -Large bedroom with queen-sized bed, glass table, ensuite bath with stall shower and direct access to the lower porch. -Across the hall, laundry room with washer and dryer. Outdoor Space: Large porch with comfy seating, half an acre of lawn, bbq grill, picnic table with benches, large sun umbrella, fire pit and direct access to the Hudson River.` Parking: Private driveway parking for 3 cars. EV Charge available for small fee. Smoke/fire and Carbon Monoxide Detectors: The house is fully equipped to code with alarm systems that remain activated. Guest access SimpliSafe security system with a numbered key pad. We will send you the code for entry prior to your visit.
