UVA and the hospitals are nearby too! This charming home features generous living spaces, a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor deck with a large fenced yard. The space Enter from the front porch into the ground level, which includes communal spaces and access to the back deck and yard. The two bedrooms are upstairs. FIRST FLOOR: Designed to convene with your group in comfort. - Living Room: Sofa (seats 3), two oversized arm chairs, two accent chairs, a coffee table, smart TV, gas fireplace (switch operated) and stunning gallery wall. - Dining Area: Antique dining table with chairs for 6. - Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with new appliances (including an ice cream maker, blender and warming tray for a slow and easy dinner), dinnerware sufficient for 16, and basic kitchen consumables including spices, tea and locally roasted coffee (Fellow percolator). Please let me know of any particular requests. - Deck: Located off the kitchen/dining area is a deck with a dining table for 4 and stairs leading down to the large, fully enclosed backyard. There's a custom-made sliding metal gate that can keep pets on (or off) the deck, if helpful. - Laundry: Washer/dryer available for guest use; detergent provided. - Half Bath SECOND FLOOR: Each of the upstairs bedrooms includes a closet with a hang bar and built-in shelving, a tabletop fan, a sound machine, a spare floor mattress (suitable for smaller children), a luggage rack, blackout curtains and shades that can be opened from the top or the bottom, allowing light in without compromising privacy. The bedside tables include traditional and USB outlets for phone charging. - Bedroom 1: A cozy room towards the back of the house, this bedroom features a king bed, nightstands with lamps and a console table. - Bedroom 2: Located at the front of the house with vaulted ceilings and a street view, this bedroom features a queen bed, nightstands with lamps and a desk. - Full Bathroom: Single vanity, tub/shower combination and a medicine cabinet with additional storage. Shark hair dryer, towels, and toiletries provided. A full-length mirror is mounted on the wall outside of the bathroom for any last-minute outfit checks. - Office: At the top of the stairs is an ideal space for working or relaxing, with an oversized partner's desk and an incredibly comfortable couch. Fiber internet via Ting will keep you connected. PARKING: - There is one guaranteed parking space in the driveway. Street parking is available for additional vehicles, but out of respect for our neighbors with whom we share the space, please park no more than 2 cars on the street. - Please take care to avoid impeding access to neighbors' driveways and please do not park with any wheels on grass. PLEASE NOTE: We pride ourselves on our collection of plants and feel confident you will enjoy them too! Please do not water the plants, as overwatering can be damaging. For stays of 10 days or more, we will coordinate a time with you where our "plant waterer" can come tend to them and keep them happy. Other things to note Must climb stairs to enter the home and access any bedroom.
