A characterful family cottage in Frome.
A characterful family cottage in Frome.
Description
This is our family home, in the glorious town of Frome. We are situated on the town's edge, just a ten minute walk from walking to St Catherine's cobbled high street, and five minutes on foot to the open countryside. The cottage has a lovely, warm atmosphere, and lends itself equally well to young family trips into Somerset, or a tranquil writers retreat. The space The house is part of a row of cottages originally owned by the Longleat estate, and was used to house their workers. These days the cottage has been transformed through the addition of a stunning oak-beamed extension, turning what was a cosy abode into a modern and stylish space. The entrance is through the extension, which then leads on to a living room in the old part of the house. There are two further stories, where the sleeping quarters are. The master bedroom is in the eaves of the house and is a peaceful space. We have a patio and rear garden, both of which are sun-traps during the spring and summer. Guest access You will have access to the whole property.
