The "Blue60 Guest House" was built around 1842. I have 5 guest rooms, each completely self contained with a bathroom, shower, small kitchenette, and a private door to the outside. Some of the suites have a door between them that allows for larger groups to connect rooms, and there is a common area in the back yard with a hot tub, Lounge chairs, and plenty of shade. The house is in the Marigny Triangle, less than a 5 block walk to the French Quarter and only 3 blocks from restaurants and live music on Frenchman Street. Please note that although I have a Bed&breakfast license, I don't serve breakfast. However, your room is supplied with coffee, and we are just a few minutes walk from some great places to eat! Due to Covid, only registered guests will be provided with access to the back patio with hot tub and a key to a private outside door to your room. I live in the back of the house and am often home editing photographs in my office. I leave it up to guests how much interaction they would like to have, but am happy to assist with all aspects of planning their trip. The Faubourg Marigny can be overlooked by those who think of New Orleans only as "The French Quarter". With an identiy all it's own, the Marigny has a charm that is just as strong with independent cafe's, restaurants, artists studios, and live music. You'll feel like a local in no time. You most likely won't want or need a car. My house less than is a ten minute walk to the French Quarter, Frenchman Street, and most of the major attractions. There is public transportation a block away, and a bike rental shop 3 blocks away. Weekly street parking is almost always available on my block except during the most popular holidays; I rarely have to park more than a block from the house. My house is on Elysian Fields Avenue in the Faubourg Marigny, just blocks from the Mississippi river and Frenchman Street.
