Stargaze from the balcony on our comfortable outdoor furniture, snuggled in soft blankets. Unwind with a soak in the deep jet-tub. Make a meal in our fully-stocked kitchen. Enjoy a book in the cozy hidden book nook. The space Cozy home on 2.7 acre property, including a large yard and a steep wooded area behind the house. We have the beginnings of a small loop trail started in the wooded area that guests are welcome to use. We highly suggest wearing supportive shoes because the terrain is rocky and steep in sections. We have an open plan kitchen/living room. The dining room is off the kitchen and connected to the porch/backyard. The main bedroom with king bed is the entire second floor of the house, and includes an office/reading nook, a full bathroom, a spacious walk-in closet, and a private balcony. This room is very spacious, but is “loft style,” and does not have a door. We have installed curtains for some privacy. The guest bedroom downstairs is a queen bed, and is right next to another full bath and a laundry closet. The third bed is a queen pullout sofa bed, which is a surprisingly comfortably memory foam mattress! There are many windows throughout the house, including big sliding doors and skylights. We have central heat and an electric wood stove that provides extra heat in the LR. We have a wall unit AC upstairs in the main bedroom and window fans available for cooling. The downstairs stays cool in all seasons, even on the hottest days of summer, due to the orientation of the house. This is not a rental property, we live here, so we have put in a lot of effort to make it comfortable, functional and relaxing. If you have specific questions please let us know! Guest access You will have the entire house, yard, and woods to yourself. Other things to note While it’s not completely isolated, the house is located in a wooded area with only a few houses. If you walk in the grass or wooded area, it’s likely you will encounter ticks. We have tick spray available for you to use, and we highly suggest wearing long pants and socks. It’s best to do a check for ticks after spending time outdoors, regardless. You may also see or hear deer, birds, foxes, squirrels, and coyotes. Please DO NOT try to feed or pet any animals you see, or leave food out for them— this can create very dangerous situations for both animals and people.
