This charming cottage overlooking Lake Burton is the perfect backdrop to your mountain getaways. Nestled among the tree-line, our home has lake and mountain views with ample room to host your friends and family. Located just under a mile from the public boat ramp, we have easy access to Georgia's most beautiful lake. Enjoy nature from your own private back porch or stretch your legs with plenty of back roads to walk on. We’re close to many mountain towns which make getting around a breeze. We are a comfy, dog friendly cozy lake cottage and has great natural light and lovely views of the lake. Nestled in a fabulous tree lined community great for walking. We have only three steps into the house and we're easy location from main road. The first floor boasts a dining room, living room, kitchen, master bedroom, twin bedroom, and a full bath. Off of the living room, you have access to a large, screened-in porch with a fire table and ample room for dining, relaxing, and spending time with loved ones. Downstairs also has great views of the lake and you'll find another cozy living room with TV, and video games, corner desk area for workspace, king bedroom, and a full bath, and the laundry room. Downstairs also has access to a large, expansive deck with plenty of room to relax. Our large, horseshoe driveway is large enough to host your boat + trailer. While we don't have direct access to the water, we're just under a mile from Murray Cove Boat Dock a perfect access point to Lake Burton. We are less than 5 minutes from Anchorage Marina, and a Lake Burton public beach. We are 15 minutes from LaPrades Marina and both Marinas are open around April and close around October. Both marinas offer boat and jet ski rentals but you need to book in advance. We have high speed internet for work and school. **Long stays are welcome and can offer additional tax & rental rate discounts depending on the length of time. If you are interested in a multiple month stay, do not hesitate to let me know your situation and depending on your length of stay, we may be able to come up with a custom rate. Guests have full access to the entire property. My husband and I live in Dillard, just 25 minutes away from the Cottage. Should you need anything during your stay, please do not hesitate to reach out! Much like all of Lake Burton, there are paved and there are gravel roads. The roads are well maintained and are accessible by all vehicle types. Our cottage is off of a gravel road, but the majority of the way there is paved. In able to best enjoy Rabun County, you’ll need a vehicle. We don’t have very much traffic, but points of interests are typically a good distance (mileage wise) apart. Our property offers very easy access from main roads and it is easy find after dark. Driveway: If you aren't traveling in an SUV, the entrance to the right (if facing the cabin) has the better grading and should be used. Pets: We adore our fur babies and they are welcome. However, we cannot accept cats so we approve pets on a per pet basis. There is an additional Pet Fee charged based on the size, type, number of pets and length of stay :-). We are reasonable with our fees and don't charge a pet fee until your stay begins. Please do let us know about your pets. If we discover pets at the cottage without approval, you may be asked to leave with no refund or at the owner's sole discretion, you will be charge additional fees up to a $100 per day per pet. Please note that as we are in the mountains, we experience true seasons. You may experience snow/ice when temperatures are below freezing.
