Welcome! Designed and built in the spirit of a Tiny House, our tree house welcomes you with originality and comfort in the heart of Dordogne. Breathe, and enjoy its green setting, birdsong, and the stream flowing below. You can settle on the wooden terrace, or take a break in the vast garden that surrounds the Treehouse. Unless you feel like relaxing indoors, or exploring the many riches of the region. The space Inside the Cabin, in a bright and warm atmosphere, you will find: • a queen size bed (160 x 200 cm) with new bedding of excellent quality • a kitchen area (dishes, sink, mini-fridge, kettle, removable induction cooktop, teapot, piston coffee maker...) • a small bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) • a dresser and hangers on the walls for storing your belongings • a small table and two chairs We provide linens and towels, and the Cabin has basic products for the bathroom (shower gel, shampoo) as well as for the kitchen area (tea, coffee, olive oil etc). Outside, you can enjoy the wooden terrace of the Cabin, with its bench and small table, but also many shaded areas by the stream and in our ever-evolving garden-meadow. La Cabane du Ravillou is located in a rural environment, close to our house. Depending on the season, you may have the chance to meet the pretty herd of Limousine cows that graze a few weeks a year in the field along the garden. Near the Cabane, you can discover many hiking trails, pretty villages, as well as the small town of Excideuil located a few minutes by car. Several swimming areas (swimming pool, rivers or lakes) are easily accessible. Want to visit the city? Périgueux is 30 minutes from the Cabane, a must-see visit! Guest access The Tree House is located in a green garden, close to our house. You have of course complete autonomy, and the entrance to the Tree House faces the fields, so there is no one opposite. You can enjoy the parts of the garden that surround the Tree House, its direct access to the stream. Other things to note We are in the countryside, and nature imposes its rhythm: during harvest periods, it can happen that certain agricultural activities, such as mowing or collecting hay bales, briefly punctuate the calm environment. Please note that the cabin is designed for a maximum of two people, and is not suitable for babies or children. Check-in is from 5pm and check-out is before 11am.
