Our lovely home on Orange Street in the heart of Nantucket town is waiting to welcome your family to the best of what the island has to offer. The bright and charming main house has 4-5 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The similarly furnished guest cottage/studio apartment over the detached garage has an additional suite with a queen bed, kitchenette and full bath along with a private entrance - perfect for grandparents, a second couple, or caregiver. This longtime family home was recently remodeled to give it bright, modern touches, including all-new appliances in the kitchen. Both the house and cottage, which are rented as a package in the summer, have central air conditioning. The property is fully furnished with all the accessories you need to enjoy your stay, from board games to beach chairs, sand toys and beach towels. Cable TV and high-speed Wi-Fi are among the included utilities. One parking space is available off-street in the private driveway; there is also plentiful on-street parking in front of the house. The heart of town - Main Street - is a short walk away via sidewalks on Orange or Union streets. No smoking, no pets. The rental is of the entire property, including the main house, detached garage with studio apartment over it, and roomy private yard in between. It includes some storage space in the garage for bikes or smaller belongings and one off-street parking spot. Owners are happy to answer any questions about the house or island to make your stay as comfortable as possible! The house is located on the east side of town; it is a few block walk to a convenience store and a brief walk or drive to the largest island supermarket. A harbor beach is a few blocks away and ocean beaches are a short bike or drive. Nearby bike paths can take you all over the island. There is one off-street parking space and plenty of free on-street parking on Orange Street. The heart of town is a quick walk along Orange Street, which has sidewalks. In addition to a car or bike, the Nantucket Regional Transit Authority runs shuttle bus routes all over the island from mid-spring to fall, leaving from a downtown hub.
