The property includes a spacious backyard and the entire property is adorned with a rustic fence and tall evergreens, making for a private and cozy experience! Relax in the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit after hiking or adventuring about - roast Smore's, sip hot cocoa, share some laughs - make lasting memories. There is something truly special about lazing in the chairs and watching nightfall and the stars come out. The crisp Adirondack mountain air against a sky full of stars, and snuggling up by the fire is pure bliss. A nature path is accessible right from the backyard. A great little adventure is taking a walk to the John Brown Farm historical site or just stroll in the woods. The property is landscaped nicely with various planting beds, Evergreens, Apple, Birch and Maple trees. We have a semi-circle driveway that provides ample space for guests. The living space that is available for use is the entire home. Equipped with 52” Plasma TV w/ Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Disney +. • Woodstove - a fully functional wood stove w/ some kindling provided. • 1 Full Master-Suite - King Size Bed, Room Darkening Curtains, complete with TV, Master Bathroom with Whirlpool tub and Walk-in Shower. Main Street in Lake Placid is just a mile down the road. The property is conveniently located directly from Route 73, so you have direct access to the IRONMAN route from our neighborhood. The property provides access to a nature path behind the cabin that enables one to walk to John Brown Farm or a famous hiking spot, Henry's Woods. (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps will be your friend to help navigate how to get there. A car is recommended for ease of exploring. There is however a local trolley, called 'Placid XPRSS'. You can catch the trolley at the bottom of the hill from our neighborhood - a 5 minute walk. Placid XPRSS is Lake Placid Village's free public transit system. Placid XPRSS is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. This service runs the circuit through the business areas in the town of Lake Placid. Just find a sign and flag it down! If you choose to bring canoe/kayaks, they are welcome and encouraged! There are many places for you to enjoy them here in Lake Placid and surrounding communities. Main Street Lake Placid has many award winning restaurants, and breweries for you to enjoy! Take a gentle stroll shopping on Main Street at the local businesses or outlets. Enjoy the stunning Mirror Lake view from there! There is also a public beach, and picnic areas to take advantage of! Nearby airport, is 20 minutes (Saranac Lake).
