Dolphin Harbor - 4 BR/3 BA (with Bunk Room) Sleeps up to 12 at Orange Beach Our Condo is located on Ole River in Orange Beach, Alabama. We are only one of a three 4 bedroom/3 bath units, located on the 2nd floor in a low density building (27 units in all). BEACH ACCESS: All of our guests have the luxury of beach access directly across the street through Dolphin Key. Simply cross the street, walk under Dolphin Key (through its parking area) and there is a private boardwalk (with shower) right next to the pool. There are even a beach company where you can rent private chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Our guests also may use the pool beachside! Our unit has been newly updated with new paint, new kitchen, floors, and new furniture. Master has a King bed, second and third bedroom have Queen beds, and the fourth bedroom is a bunk room with 6 built-in bunk beds. Cable television in all bedrooms (upgraded with Family package and Showtime), as well as high speed internet WiFi access. We have left fishing rods for those who want to fish off the deck area at night. This unit will comfortably sleep 6 adults and 6 children, so its great for a large extended family vacation. Most of our guests have two families or in-laws come down and stay together for a quiet get together here on the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking, and when we say fully stocked, we mean it. We use this condo multiple times a year, and my wife and I basically bought everything we need for ourselves to cook! Each bathroom is equipped with hair dryers. The Unit has a gated parking lot and a private waterfront overlooking the Ole River and Ono Island. This unit is only one of two with an extended balcony with views both East and West, so you have beautiful unobstructed views. It's wonderful early in the morning - almost every day you can watch dolphins off our balcony. Dolphin Harbor also has a first come/first serve boat slips and a cleaning station for guests to use during their stay, for those who want to bring their own boat. When you leave in your boat, place the placard (see picture) at your boat slip and it will be open when you return. There are three public launches just a few miles away (you can check them out on the internet), so access is quick and easy. Perdido Pass is just a mile west, with great fishing in Ole River, particularly early morning and at night on lighted docks up and down the River. You can easily catch a mess of speckled trout, redfish, and flounder in the river, or head out in the Gulf for some Spanish, or other deep sea fish. Or buy a crabtrap and set it off the docks for a slew of Blue Crabs! There are no boat trailers allowed in the complex parking for guests, but the owner can help with locating a short term storage facility for your trailer. The River directly behind Dolphin Harbor is a no wake zone, with a sand bar on the north side of the River directly across from your balcony. You can anchor your boat next to the sand bar and allow your children to play in knee deep water, free from boat traffic. Nightlife and your favorite places to eat are literally within a couple of miles, with FloraBama just 8/10 of a mile East of the Condo. The closest grocery store is Publix, located at the intersection of Perdido Beach Highway and Highway 161, just a few miles west of Perdido Pass. This unit is great for families with children, as you can watch your little ones play in the pool next to the River from your balcony, or go across the street to Dolphin Key and hangout at the beach and pool.
