Kiahuna Golf Village is considered to be one of the most beautiful neighborhoods on the South shore of Kauai. The mature tropical landscaping, estate sized parcels, and privacy between homes lends itself to a unique vacation for you and your family in a truly Hawaiian paradise environment. This particular home is on one of the largest lots in Kiahuna Golf Village, with an estate sized presence. The home was designed by the famous architecture firm of Vladmir Ossipoff (1907-1998), an American architect best known for his Hawaiian Mid-Century Modern works all over Hawaii. Ossipoff has been called "the master of Hawaiian Modern architecture" and the premier designer of kama'aina-style residences in Honolulu. Most of the rooms have very large glass windows and oversized glass sliding doors from floor to ceiling, facing the large green belt golf course open space surrounded by plumeria and palm trees with the ever-blue Hawaiian ocean in the distance. Jalousie windows are on the opposing walls in every room which provide cool breezes to flow through each room day and night. Most of our guests are pleasantly surprised that this air flow design renders very little need for air conditioning and gives you a true tropical living experience. You will spend most of your time outdoors on the spacious lanais stepping in and out of the large tropical pool swimming past the lava rock waterfall. The home, grounds, and pool were completely remodeled and restored maintaining the integrity of the original architectural period design and materials. You will love this property.
