Starlite Cabin

It is a cozy room with some comforts here at our Laitila farm. We have built a comfy skylight dome house, perfect for camping. Visitors can also enjoy the wood burning sauna, kota for grilling, relaxing in the palju and visiting with the animals. There are numerous walking paths you can take if you are looking for an adventure, our property is surrounded by open fields and woods, with a swamp nearby. Only 50km from Turku downtown. The space We are a Finnish-American couple that started our Airbnb at our home and now as of May 2024 have moved to a property of its own. We are happy to have people from all over come visit us to experience the life here and to also learn from others. Laitila is a quiet place about 50km from the heart of Turku. Our cabin is small but at the same time spacious and very comfy. The room includes a mini fridge and microwave for quick and easy meals and a small heater in case it is cold. Each cabin has its own palju as well. You will have access to the sauna, showers, toilets, kota for grilling and of course ability to visit with the animals that live on the farm. Enjoy beautiful walks through the village, woods, fields and even the swamp nearby. If you do not wish to go alone, we are more than happy to join you and show you around. Depending on time of the year there are chances to gather fresh berries and mushrooms to enjoy. Much wildlife can have a chance to be seen like deer, moose, and fox. There is also lake with small beach and a pier 7 km away for swimming. We are also only 50km from Turku as well. Guest access Palju: €30 for self heat or €45 for preheat, each cabin has its own palju. Same day notice or late notice might only have self heat option. In winter this may also mean palju is not available so please ask. In summer heating time can take 1-3 hours and winter 2-4 hours. Sauna- is free, self heated only, reservation made upon arrival only. Sauna is for 1 hour session. Showers/WC Fire pit Animal shelter: except during quiet hours Other things to note **General Info for guests: We ask that when you book you make sure you see the check in times and check out, along with our quiet hours. We want guests to be aware that as much as we would like to be able to let people come late in the evening we also have our day jobs on and off the farm and are awake early morning. If you think you might be checking in later than the times given then please let us know as we may be able to give some more time. **If you wish to check in on early times on weekends, please ask us if it is an option. Check out our other listings if you have a group up to 11 adults! We do offer Palju! Standard fee is €30 for use per booking. If you wish to heat yourself, please know that it can take 3-4 hours to heat up as it is a wood burning hot tub. Wood is provided. For an extra €15 we can heat it for you. If you wish to have it preheated please let us know as soon as possible. Swimsuits are mandatory. They are private for each cabin and you don't have to share it with other guests. Please note: Last minute bookings or last minute notice on wanting to use palju may not get preheating option or in winter not available at all so please ask. Sauna is available for guests with no extra charge. You can book a time when you arrive, we do not take reservations through messaging as it is first come first choice. Sauna can be booked from 17.30-23.30 for 1 hour sessions. We do offer Breakfast Baskets, feeds 1-2 people and only €15. Includes milk, bread, butter, jogurt, mysly and porridge. Let us know when booking, if you would like to purchase as we need time to prepare them for your arrival. Last minute bookings or late notice may not have option for breakfast so please ask.
