This rustic cottage is equipped with everything you need to feel right at home: cable TV, DVD, wood fireplace, high speed internet (wifi) and more. Village Suisse is a small family-owned cottage rental business in the heart of the Laurentians in the beautiful village of Val-David. We own 10 cottages on a 2 acre lot located between Lac de la Sapinière and Val-David Val-Morin Regional Park. It will be a pleasure to welcome you! To reach the Village Suisse, look for the red sign immediately after the intersection Sapinière and Condor. Turn left and you will enter the parking lot. You will receive instructions by email. You will have access to the chalet les Alpes in full and to our site. In summer, you will enjoy free of charge the heated swimming pool. We also have free bicycles available as well as passes for hiking and mountain biking at the regional park. Our shared whirlpool is open all year. You will have access to free pass which gives you access to the Val-David - Val-Morin Regional Park where you can enjoy a multitude of seasonal activities (walking, cycling, climbing, bird watching, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and more.) Pack your equipment or rent it at the park or in the Village. Summer In summer, swim in our heated pool, relax in the whirlpool, explore the regional park and visit the beautiful village of Val David (ice cream, restaurants, cafes, market farmer, grocery store and more ... 5 minutes walk) Winter In winter, 160km of cross-country ski runs extend right out of your chalet, 30 km of snowshoeing tracks welcome dogs on a leash! 2 slides for children, 3 ice rinks and the fairy village of Val-David. Alpine ski slopes also at 2km! Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding your chalet or activities in and around Val-David. We are open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 5pm. Val-David is a quaint little artists village that is perfectly located 80km north of Montréal, 120km east of Ottawa and 36km south of Mont-Tremblant. Our chalets are ideally located between a lake ( Lac de la Sapinière ), a 500 hectare forested regional park and the heart of Val-David. (3-5 minute walk) In fact, everything you need is within walking distance in Val-David: Grocery Store, health food store, drop-in yoga centre, ATM, restaurants, bars, cafés, boutiques, an art gallery park, mountains, lake, bike path and more. There is a lot to see and do in Val-David, year round. Our beautiful village is a hub for great art and music festivals and our farmers market is renowned as one of the best open air market in Quebec. (every Saturday from May 28th to October 8th from 9-1pm and a few other special dates throughout the year.) Although there is no public transportation in the heart of the village, you can get to Val-David by bus from Montreal. (See Autobus Galland for scheduling and pricing details.) The bus stop, at the village entrance, is about 1km away from our chalets. Some of our guests choose to walk, others plan for a taxi (taxi Val-David) to bring them the rest of the way. 3 étoiles CITQ 615904 Minimum stay of 2 nights, 3 nights for holiday weekends. All linens and bath towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels for the pool, spa or outings to the lake as the chlorine and sand make our towels and equipment age prematurely. Our kitchens are fully equipped so you only need to plan for your food. If you don't feel like packing everything in your cooler, there is a great grocery store (Metro Dufresne) minutes away where you can stock up on what you need.
