In a quiet, safe and historic neighborhood just 1 block from the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and 1/5-mile from the Santa Fe Plaza, the luxurious Sunflower Casita Southwest gives you an inviting retreat while also allowing you to readily explore downtown Santa Fe with hardly any planning. Just leave your cars in the two parking spots reserved just for you and simply meander through the historic neighborhood to any number of places just around the corner - like Bumblebee Cafe or Terracotta Wine Bistro, a block away, or any number of eateries, shops, museums and galleries in and around the plaza itself. With the multi-faceted Santa Fe Railyard District to the west, you’ll be amazed at the options you’ll have just within walking distance in every direction! Then, after a long day of play in Santa Fe, the character and style of this charming space will call you back to nestle in and get cozy. You’ll look forward to relaxing in front of the kiva fireplace watching a movie, or chatting about your fun day over drinks and snacks in the nicely stocked kitchen, or sipping a glass of your favorite wine on the spacious, furnished private walled patio under the stars. All this comfort while surrounded in contemporary Southwest style will make you feel right at home. You will have the entire casita complete with kitchen, bathroom (including linens, blow dryer, and everything else you may need) as well as the large patio to yourself. This includes 2 parking spaces, wifi, two large t.v.'s a/c and heating and kiva fireplace. We also have humidifier and a fan as well as comforter and bedding for the sofa bed. Let us know if you will be using this. There will be someone available if you need, but you are able to check yourself in and out. There is an additional $60 fee per pet to be left for the housekeeping and I allow 2 small to medium size dogs (no cats). Please notify owner in advance if you plan to bring a pet. This is located very close to the plaza along with two parking spots so you can walk to many excellent restaurants or galleries without worrying about parking space. It is also very close to the Railyard district with its many restaurants and farmers market. Most people love to leave their car parked in the driveway to walk to the plaza, but some of the best hiking trails are a 12 minute drive. I also recommend driving to some of the picturesque villages such as Abiquiú where Georgia O’Keeffe lived at her ranch and painted many of her landscapes, and see Monastery of Christ In the Desert. One can also drive to Bandelier National Monument to hike and climb the ladders and see homes of Ancestral Puebloans and spectacular views. If you are bringing your dog, please be aware there is a cleaning fee of $60 per pet. I allow up to two medium size dogs or one large dog and no other types of animals.
