The Adler Suite is a unique and beautifully appointed one-bedroom apartment in the heart of St. Louis' incredible Central West End. Amazing discounts for longer stays, with weekly housekeeping included. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for basic meal preparation. Soak in the Adler Suite's original clawfoot bathtub, or if you prefer a shower, that's fine, too. Enjoy soft linens as you drift off to sleep on the Adler's top-quality Queen bed. Enjoy high-speed dedicated internet service. The smart TV has an antenna for local stations. There is no television in the bedroom. Before your arrival, the Adler Suite will be stocked with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast foods to start your stay. You'll find cleaning supplies that you're welcome to use and complimentary toiletries: soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-Tips, etc. To keep our rates low, we don't replenish these items during your stay. We hope you'll find everything you need! There's an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, and so much more. A laundromat is available in the building's upper lobby for guests. While the Adler Suite is on the first floor, please note that it is accessible only by a half flight of stairs leading from the lobby up to the first floor. The apartment is at the back of the building on an alley, with a popular bar right next door. Given the Adler Suite's location, you may hear noise from the bar and its patrons, or from trucks picking up trash in the wee morning hours. As a courtesy, we keep ear plugs in the bathroom medicine cabinet, and a white noise machine in the bedroom and living room. We accept same-day reservations, if you contact us by 2 PM Central Time USA. Sorry, while we all love them, we do not allow pets at the Adler Suite. Smoking is prohibited. Upon making a reservation, you will be notified of SF Shannon's House Rules. Creation of a reservation indicates acceptance of SF Shannon's policies. Dynamic pricing ensures competitive rates. Weekly and monthly discounts are auto-applied at time of booking. You will always find best pricing by booking direct at SF Shannon. If you plan to be in residence longer than a month, we accept monthly payments. There is no lease, but you must submit a rental application and pay a security deposit. Long-term guests must provide proof of their own renters insurance, or pay a nominal monthly fee for Tenant Liability Insurance. This insurance is underwritten by Great American Insurance Group and covers accidental or unintentional damage to the premises, but not to your personal possessions. State lodging taxes apply to stays less than 30 nights. City lodging taxes apply to stays less than 32 nights. PARKING Parking is free and on-street in front of the building, and can be hard to find when the neighborhood is busy. The Adler Suite is in the heart of the Central West End, which is home to a number of bars and restaurants. These establishments make our neighborhood great, but can also lead to parking challenges. With so many establishments within walking distance, the neighborhood attracts many visitors, especially in evenings and on weekends. You may need to circle the block a few times, but most of our guests don’t report too much trouble getting a spot. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION The "Adler" is less than five miles west of the Gateway Arch. It is within walking distance of Forest Park, Washington University Medical Center & Barnes Hospital. One-of-a-kind historic architecture, restaurants, coffee houses, and all kinds of shopping are footsteps away. Walk to Whole Foods, Aldi, and Metrolink, the city's regional rail system. IS IT SAFE? Since all of SF Shannon’s vacation rental apartments are in the historic core of St. Louis, we occasionally receive the question: “Is it safe?” This question is impossible to answer, because we typically know nothing about the person asking it. Co-owners Rachel and Karen live within walking distance of each SF Shannon vacation rental. They and their spouses have raised their families here, and have always felt perfectly safe. WHY THAT NAME? The Adler Suite is named in honor of Paul Adler, a former owner of the Cambridge, the building that is home to the Adler Suite. The apartment is all yours! There is a shared laundry room in the upper lobby and shared hallways with other guests and residents. If you need us, we're available. All of our phone numbers are on a laminated sheet in the apartment. Central West End Public transit is easy from here. Find real-time info is on Maps or Transit App. The Adler has window-unit air conditioning. We pull the air conditioner out of the window by the middle of November to clean it and store it for the winter. We reinstall the air conditioner in April. If you feel like you need an air conditioner outside of this schedule, please discuss with us. We will do our best to accommodate. In the winter months, heat is controlled by a central boiler that runs steam through the radiators. The boiler is scheduled to run 3 to 6 times a day, depending on the weather forecast.
