Entire separate private master suite near Deep Creek Lake, with private entrance- on unique 17 acre property near the south-eastern tip of the lake. Plenty of parking for any vehicles, trailers, RVs, boats welcome. 13 minute drive to the public boat ramp and beach at Deep Creek Lake State Park. 20 minute drive along the lake to get to Wisp Resort. Location is on an emergency snow route that is always cleared. 10 mins to Arrowhead 24hr Market/Grocery This home was originally built in 1901! This portion is an addition but you will find a unique layout with wood walls that keeps us puzzled! Warm and inviting, you’ll never forget your stay here. Much of the property is a work in progress, but we are proud to welcome guests into our clean and comfortable master suite. The suite itself is comprised of four areas: bathroom, bedroom, Jacuzzi tub room and the living room. We provide a very limited, "dorm room" style kitchen setup that is limited to a mini-fridge with a separate freezer, a microwave and a mini coffee maker. It's perfect for snacks, desserts, reheating leftovers and making simple microwave-only meals. We ask that guests NOT use their own cooking appliances in the suite, but are more than welcome to use the grill and its side stove-burner to prepare hot food. Use the deck for grilling and hanging out. The 2 acre “backyard” has a gazebo and fire pit and is fenced in so dogs can roam. We recommend that dogs still be supervised when in the yard due to a few weak spots in the fence, but this should only be an issue for the most motivated of escape artists! Please be aware that, while the suite is nicely finished, much of the property is a "work in progress" and may be in varying states of repair. A short walk on the lower part of the property and across the street leads to a stream that is always interesting to check out. There is no established trail through the brush and the ground is uneven, but those who are feeling adventurous can follow the stream into the Green Glade Cove buydown area (bring boots!). The area feels very remote and opens out into some great views of the lake. The upper part of the property has a giant field and plenty of room for whatever, feel free to use any of the outdoor areas! Guests can expect a quiet and self-guided experience. There is only one person living on the property; Kevin, my brother, best friend, and investment partner on the property. He lives at the house with his amazing dog, Lupo, and can be reached at any hour if needed. Kevin can often be spotted working on his antique VW restoration project in one of the garages on the property or off hiking somewhere with Lupo if the weather is nice. He is extremely handy and can be reached quickly if ever needed - he’ll be more than happy to help if you’d like to use the grill, fire pit, etc.. This area of Deep Creek Lake is quiet and fairly removed from the tourist feel. The house is only a 10 minute drive to a 24-hr grocery store called Arrowhead Market for any supplies, or some of the areas great bars and restaurants. 12 mins to the lake’s public boat ramp, 20 min drive north along the lake to Wisp ski resort. UBER is technically available in this area, but counting on it is not recommended, especially after hours. You should probably plan on using/arranging your own transportation.
