A lovely wooded setting, quiet and peaceful, yet within 5 minutes of the harbor or the botanical gardens, and 10 minutes of Southport Island. Easily 20 restaurants, a grocery, a movie theater, and a couple of playhouses all within 10 minutes.

The amenities you'd expect and a few to surprise you. Your own parking, private entrance, and programable door lock. Southern and western exposures and, weather permitting, your own patio. A smart TV, free Wifi (broadband, 100Mbps), a kitchenette, coffee maker, microwave, amazing queen size bed, and lots of sunshine.

Boothbay Harbor has many, many diversions. Boat trips, both pleasure and charter, that will tour the harbor or, for the more sea hearty, explore the rivers and inlets around the area. Whale watching, deep sea fishing, charter a sail boat, visit the artist colony on Monhegan Island. A hidden, sandy beach on Southport. A working lighthouse manned by volunteers in period dress and character. The summer home of the Wicked Witch of the West. And we haven't even begun to scratch the surface.

Your hosts are on scene, in the main house. Your apartment is the entire second floor of a detached building on the lot. Your hosts are accessible and available, but only as you need them.

Your view is of a wooded lot, almost a forest setting, to the south and a huge flower garden to the west. The neighborhood is quiet and off the thoroughfares, but all the area attractions are easily accessible. Your private stone patio has afternoon and evening sun, a patio table and chairs, and views of the glorious colors that Maine sunsets are famous for.

Your hosts are year round residents who have lived in the area for a combined 50+ years and who would be delighted to help you find the best restaurants and entertainment, and figure out day trips to Portland and south, or Damariscotta, Camden, or Mount Desert Island to the north.
