West Sedona and Uptown are a 10-minute drive away, where you will enjoy the finest shopping, art galleries, and restaurants in Sedona. A balcony from every room makes this a truly special place. Views of Cathedral Rock and Pyramid Rock from the front balconies and back yard. The house is completely stocked with all of the essentials: * Fully supplied kitchen with blender, toaster, dishes, glassware (including wine glasses) crockpot, pots and pans, spices etc. - you just bring your own food and a bottle of wine, and set up camp! * Linens, towels, extra blankets and pillows are all provided. * Free WiFi * Landline with free calls within the intercontinental US. Note: Cell phone service is spotty due to the low valley we live in. * Smart TVs located in the living room and king bedroom. * Living room is very comfortable, with leather couches, lounge chair and 42 inch TV with streaming channels. Sliding door in living room leads out to first floor balcony. Open floor plan to the kitchen, which has an oak table with seating for 4-6 guests. * Two queen beds are located upstairs, with each bedroom room leading out to its own balcony. Largest bedroom also has a walk in closet. The second bedroom has balcony views of Pyramid Rock and Cathedral rock. One bathroom is located upstairs. * Downstairs bedroom has a king bed with an armoire and enclosed TV. There is one bathroom downstairs. * Both bathrooms are equipped with blowdryers. The first floor bathroom has a first aid kit and extra towels. * All beds are extremely comfortable with special Candace Olson fiber bed padding. * Home is tastefully decorated with soutwest art and classic oak furniture. * Backyard is nicely landscaped and has a view of Pyramid Rock. There are two separate seating areas, and a BBQ grill. Fruit trees on property include pear, apple, peach, plum and pomegranate. Help yourself in summertime! Upon arrival, you will park in our carport, walk up the stairs, and enter your code to the keyless pad on the door. You will have a unique code to enter on the keypad - Instructions will be sent to you after booking is completed. We are off site hosts and contact guests by phone at checkin and as needed during the stay. We do not live on the premise, but will make arrangements to meet you in person on the day of your arrival if you so desire. Monthly guests will meet us in person the day of arrival if desired, so that we can show you around, answer any questions you may have about the area (we love to make suggestions on our favorite hiking spots in the area) and make sure your stay is satisfactory. Sedona is recognized as a Dark Sky City, and our home is perfect for dazzling star gazing, as the neighborhood is very dark in the evening. Wildlife roams the neighborhood, bringing a sense of excitement when guests spot a variety of animals including rabbits, javelina, and coyotes. These animals are safe and won't bother you if you don't bother them. Our home is very close to the riparian preserve of Crescent Moon Ranch State Park, and you may see cranes and other unusual birds flying over the house. Many of our guests enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony as they watch the sunset and the occasional summer monsoon thunderstorm. The backyard patio is perfect for barbecuing and setting up a special dinner to close out the evening There is a local bus line that can take the guest from Village of Oak Creek to Verde Valley. However, a car is recommended. There are many hiking trails right out the front door, and many which require transportation to get to. We have a book at the house with some of our favorites, along with directions on how to get there. This location is a picture of the way Sedona used to be, prior to becoming the bigger tourist mecca that it has become. You will be surrounded by lush high desert forest, where trails with amazing views await right out the door! We have had many guests who have loved our home - they tend to enjoy our outdoor space to stargaze and dine with friends, however loud noise is not compatible with our neighborhood. Thank you for your understanding! There are no more than six guests at a time allowed at the house, and parties with children are not allowed due to safety concerns related to our high balconies. Breaking these rules will cause you to incur extra fees - please be honest. Guests must understand in advance that our lovely home is located in a quiet neighborhood with sensitive wildlife. Quiet time beginning at 9:00 p.m. is strictly enforced. If you are looking for a place to party and make loud noise, this is not for you. Our home is located in an area with limited cell phone access, however many guests do fine when setting their cell settings to “WiFi calling” mode. . We have a landline that you may use for all phone calls.
