Our "nightlife" consists of giant sea turtles laying their eggs -- our only bar is the sand bar where you can find sand dollars and shells! This vintage Little Gasparilla Island cottage has been meticulously renovated with a flair for unique style and attention to detail...and nothing has been overlooked! From the stunning new granite countertops in the kitchen to the display of vintage Florida postcards adorning the living room wall, this cottage will delight you with both its small details and big views. In these uncertain times, we understand it is important to be flexible. To give you a greater sense of security if you book with us we are now offering vacation credits and waiving rescheduling fees should you wish to postpone your stay. We have also instituted enhanced sanitation and cleaning procedures. We are leaving additional time between check-ins to allow for more thorough cleaning. To further enable social distancing, we offer self-check-in (no need to pick up keys or stop by an office) and there is grocery delivery service available on the island should you wish to avoid a trip to the store. We also urge you to consider the purchase of travel insurance which allows you to cancel for any reason. We provide recommended travel insurance information in our contract packet upon booking. Should an unexpected cancellation occur, it protects us both. These policies have been created with your safety in mind and should allow you to enjoy a responsible, relaxed and stress-free vacation on the island. The kitchen has been updated with beautiful new slate-finish appliances, granite countertops, farmhouse sink in the island and stunning new flooring...not to mention dramatic views of the Gulf of Mexico. There is no dishwasher. The living/dining area also boasts Gulf views from the country farm dining table with its eclectic assortment of mix-and-match dining chairs. Bookcases flanking the antique pine fireplace mantel are stocked with an assortment of books and unique collectibles for a warm, comfortable vibe and lots of reading options. The home is decorated with painted furniture, vintage signs, island artwork and repurposed antiques for a truly unique and comfortable ambiance! This cottage is truly one-of-a-kind! Both cozy bedrooms feature antique furnishings and brand new beds and bedding, and the master -- with a king bed -- offers dramatic Gulf views from the sliding glass doors that open to the front porch. Outdoors, the front deck affords you a breezy spot to dine outdoors with dramatic views south towards Boca Grande and west towards LGI's spectacular sunsets. Bonefish Bungalow sits out on the beach much farther than its southern neighbors, giving it much more dramatic and unobstructed views! Bonefish Bungalow sleeps 4 comfortably, is pet-friendly, includes access to a dock slip at Dock 42, includes all linens, beach chairs, beach umbrella and the services of our island concierge who will meet you at the dock and help transport luggage and groceries to the house for you. The house is to be occupied by no more than 4 persons and any party falsely representing the number of people in the home will be subject to immediate eviction without refund. Coverage details are spelled out in your contract. *Satellite TV - yes *Grill Type - electric *Parking - $6/night ($8/night if you have a boat trailer) at Eldred's Marina where you meet the boat taxi LITTLE GASPARILLA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...PLEASE READ! • You cannot drive your car to the island and the only access is via water taxi; there is no vehicle ferry. • You must park your car at the marina at the mainland but it will be perfectly safe there; parking is $6 a day. • The water taxi is $10 per person each way and he will drop you right at our dock • All homes come with a grill. Bonefish has an electric grill so no charcoal is needed. • You must bring all groceries to the island with you. • There are no stores of any kind on the island, not even a convenience store. • There is no need to bring drinking water; the water from the tap is safe and drinkable. • There are first responders on the island and we have 911 service in case of an emergency. • Golf carts are not necessary; the island is only 100-200 yards wide in most places and our concierge will meet you upon arrival to bring you to the house. But they are fun to go exploring. • You can fish off the dock or the beach but non-Florida residents will need to purchase a fishing license. • The beach is dog-friendly but dogs must be under your control, non-aggressive and there is a $100 pet fee per pet. INTERNET: There is no wired internet service on the island. There are a couple options for wifi. Most people just opt to use the mobile hotspots on their smartphones, especially if they have unlimited data or a large data plan. Cell service is excellent and that is the most convenient option...and it seems to work a bit faster. We also provide a complimentary Verizon jetpack if you do not want to use your cellular data. We urge guests NOT to plan on using the jetpack for entertainment...no streaming music or videos, etc. It is more than adequate for checking emails, etc. Just keep in mind that it is NOT the internet you are used to on the mainland. (It is especially helpful to remind kids and teenagers who are used to unlimited data!) We usually suggest that people download books and movies to their tablets or e-readers BEFORE coming to the island. PLEASE NOTE: We do require that two members of each group must be over 25 years of age. We apologize, but we can NOT rent to college groups as a courtesy to the homeowners and our island neighbors. Guests will be evicted if found not to meet age requirements upon check in. Additionally, we can not exceed capacity in island homes due to the fragile septic systems. At least two members of any group must be age 25 or older; sorry but we cannot rent to college students during Spring Break. Holiday surcharges are applied for reservations for Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Years timeframes.
