We are pleased that you might stay with us at our family retreat "Alpine Junction" cabin. Alpine Junction cabin is conveniently just 1 mile off Hwy 385 in-between Deadwood and Hill City in the heart of the Black Hills. Our physical address is: 22487 Alpine Acres Dr. Whether you are in the Hills to enjoy the scenery, see the sites, ski/snowmobile, hike/bike, hunt/fish, gamble or just relax - you've found the perfect spot from which to do it all! There isn't a site to see that's more than an hour away. We are located a short drive from nearby Terry Peak and Deer Mountain ski areas for winter sports and over 350 miles of snowmobile trails are just 10 minutes away. You'll want to bring your fly fishing rod and/or tackle & poles because our cabin is located around some of best stream and lake fishing in the Dakotas. Great water skiing is a close 8 miles away at Lake Pactola where you can rent boats, canoes and kayaks. For nearby hiking and biking - we are also only 8 miles from the Mystic trail-head and only 10 miles from the Rochford trail-head on the beautiful 109 mile George S. Mickelson Trail. Great golfing is available at Lead Country Club [Lead], Tomahawk Lake Country Club [Deadwood], Meadowbrook Golf Course [Rapid City], Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club [Spearfish] and Rocky Knolls Golf Course [Custer]. If indoor sports are more your game (gaming/gambling and fine dining) Deadwood is only 19 miles up Highway 385. Our cabin is nestled on a hillside above a scenic valley with a meandering creek below. Only 1 mile off Highway 385 west on the Rochford Road on Alpine Acres Drive. The 1 acre property features a large circular drive with parking area that can accommodate multiple vehicles including smaller RVs, trailers (ATV/snowmobile/boat/motorcycles) and several automobiles and/or motorcycles. A wide bridge leads from the circular drive onto the double-width wrap around covered deck overlooking the creek and valley below. The entryway leads into the vaulted ceiling living room with sleeper sofa, recliner, flat screen TV (DVD/Direct TV) with fireplace and ceiling fan. There are two bedrooms off the living rooms both featuring queen size beds with closets - one which features full bath with tub/shower combo and heated towel rack. The family room is located down the circular metal stairway and features a large wood-burning stove with charming brick wall, couch, chair with ottoman and wall mounted flat screen TV with DVD. The dining area features a large round glass topped table that seats six (4 TV trays area also available). The fully stocked kitchen features a dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, oven, microwave and coffee maker. There is also a separate electric turkey oven for your Thanksgiving delight. A third bedroom with full size bed and closet is off the family room. A downstairs utility room features pantry, washer/dryer, vanity with sink, shower and toilet. There are two doors (one full glass sliding) leading from the family room out onto the covered porch area featuring seating area, porch swing and gas grill. If the beautiful scenery and abundance of outdoor activities don't suit (or it's raining) we have plenty of entertainment options available. Games, cards and dominoes are available for your use. Additionally there are two big flat-screen TV’s with DISH satellite service and DVR, 2 DVD players and plenty of DVDs for your viewing pleasure. Satellite internet with WiFi is available.
