Lake Mcqueeney is almost back! The lake has been drained for dam repairs, but that work is complete and the lake is now refilling. It is expected to be full by late April or early May. We have just added 10’ Cowboy Pool , boat dock, and huge sand beach area. Only 6 miles to New Braunfels and 20 miles to San Antonio. It sits on a large, nearly 1 acre, property with a towering canopy of old growth cypress trees. Guest house (5th bedroom) is only included when booking for 10+ guests. The space This gorgeous custom built home is only a few years old, but was designed with the craftsmanship and architecture style of a 100+ year old Martha’s Vineyard coastal estate. The quality of construction is unmatched, with solid oak hardwood floors throughout the home, custom cabinets and intricate carpentry, bathrooms decked out in Italian marble, and a chefs’s kitchen fitted with high-end pro-style appliances. The interior design is equally as impressive with priceless antiques and Persian rugs, tastefully mixed with high-end furnishings from manufacturers such as Restoration Hardware. You enter the main house through the living room and are greeted with stunning lake views, wood burning fireplace and Sonus sound system. Off the living room is a formal dinning room and a library with a dedicated desk that makes for a great place to work-from-home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and cookware you would need to make a gourmet meal. It has a 48” Italian gas range and oversized pro-style built-in fridge. Off the kitchen is a cozy study/bar area with gas fire place and makes for a great place to hang out while cooking. The master bedroom is downstairs and provides incredible lake views while laying in the luxurious king bed with a Beautyrest mattress. There is a massive master bathroom with walk-in shower, soaking tub, and toilet closet. Upstairs is a second master with queen bed and en-suite bathroom. The 3rd bedroom has two queen beds and shares a bathroom with the 4th bedroom. The "4th bedroom" is currently a common area upstairs with a sofa that has a pull-out queen bed. The “5th bedroom” is located in the guest house which includes also a full sized kitchen, and living room, but it is not automatically included when booking this property. It is available for an extra fee by booking for 10+ guests. Stepping outside, you can enjoy the lake views from either the screened in porch or open deck. One of the most special things about this property is its sweeping lawn covered by a massive canopy of 100+ year old cypress, pecan and sycamore tress. The combination of the lake breezes and shade from the trees makes it very enjoyable to relax outside even in the middle of a Texas summer. It has a queen sleeper sofa, but does not have a door leading into this room, so it is not a private space. The guest house which includes the “5th bedroom,” a full sized kitchen, and living room, is not automatically included when booking this property. It is available for an extra fee by booking for 10+ guests. It’s an extra $50 per night per guest when booking for more than 8 people. For example, if you book for 10 people it would be an extra $100 per night, if you book for 12 people it’s an extra $200 per night. We do monitor occupancy for accurate guest count.
