There are 15 steps to climb from the street level to the apartment's entrance. We can not always meet all of our guests, but we are always only just a text, phone call or email away. Le Plateau Mont-Royal is the most popular place to stay in Montreal (adjacent to downtown and Old Port). This is the place where you will find the most shops and cafés. There are tons of interesting "mom and pop" stores as well as your classics like Subway and Starbucks. Liquor stores and grocery stores are also right around the corner. From the apartment, you can practically see and do everything on foot. But if you want to venture out further, you will be able to walk to Le Metro Sherbrooke in less than 5 minutes. Taking the subway (or as the locals call it "metro") is the easiest and cheapest way to get around Montreal to avoid traffic and parking tickets! Those who prefer driving will find Taxis and Uber are easily found in Montreal. Parking, however, is tricky everywhere in the city and even though there is free street parking available, if you are driving in, we recommend using the parking lot located next to the apartment (5-minutes walk). Since you can take the subway, taxi or walk everywhere, there is no need for your car unless it is really cold outside... You will receive an SMS once your reservation is confirmed by Airbnb. It will ask you to provide your email, phone number, and a copy of an ID on our secure platform. You must be at least 25 years of age to book this apartment. Anyone under the age of 21 not accompanied by a parent will need to provide the parent or legal guardian's consent in writing. No 3rd party reservation will be accepted. The person making the reservation must be present during the stay but doesn't need to be the 1st checking in. We charge a high cleaning fee only to save our guests on taxes. The real cleaning fee is much lower, in reality. For this reason, you are asked to perform a few simple tasks at checkout. If those tasks are not performed, we reserve the right to charge between $100 and $300+tx extra, depending on the assessment of our staff and the time it will take to put the apartment back to its original state. *The same fees of $100 and $300+tx, might be applied to anyone leaving after the agreed-upon check-out time. Early check-in and late check-out requests will be considered based on staff availability and will be $45+tx. Check-in would be at 2:00 pm and check-out at 1:00 pm. It is important to note that travel insurance should be purchased by all travelers to protect personal belongings and last-minute trip cancellations or interruptions. Please look into it before you book any trip around the world. With the rise of car theft in Montreal, anyone driving in should consider bringing a steering wheel lock bar or any other kind of device that could keep the car from driving. We have a steering wheel bar available that guests can borrow, as a courtesy. Additionally, anyone driving SUV's, especially Toyota Highlander, Honda CRV, any type of Lexus, Jeep (all kinds) or Toyota Rav4 Hybrid are encouraged to use indoor lots (the closest is located at 400 rue de Malines). **FAB HomeRentals, will not be held responsible for any thefts, incidentals or anything "parking related" ** We have all the permits necessary to rent short-term in our city. We are certified by the Quebec Tourism Board and are a registered business in the province of Quebec. We can provide receipts and tax numbers upon request.
