Welcome! This newly renovated gem is close to shopping and downtown area -- central to all the best that the region has to offer for a short or long-term stay. This luxurious and spacious home away from home offers a full kitchen, bath and one queen size bed. We provide all of those little details that will make your stay memorable. The home is split into two cottages; you will be staying in the Front Cottage. There is one long-term guest occupying the Back Cottage. Built in 1922, our craftsman style cottage faces east, welcoming the high mountain sunrises and blue, blue skies. Fresh, soothing paint is complimented by deep jeweled colors and a combination of midcentury modern and country comfort furnishings to foster a warm and welcoming environment. Artwork, live plants, and creature comforts bid you to relax and unwind. Every detail to enhance your experience has been considered to ensure your comfort, convenience, and overall satisfaction. You will not only find all of the conveniences of home, but much, much more. Sheridan, WY is a great center for the arts; we have over 700 artists in our community. As a great lover and supporter of the arts, the Host has a few objects of art from local artists that are on display and are for sale at cost. The objects that are for sale are clearly marked; please contact the Host for details. In the living room you will find that the coffee table opens so that you have a worktable for your computer while sitting on the couch. Excellent Wi-Fi service is available, and you will see that the smart TV enables access to your Chromecast and Netflix accounts. There are games, magazines, and a variety of books to enjoy as well. The kitchen comes fully equipped with new appliances, Keurig coffee maker, Magic Bullet blender, toaster, teapot, filtered water, and the other necessary tools to whip up a good meal. There is a charcoal BBQ located in the side patio for the grill masters. The bottom drawer in the kitchen contains all of the little notions that you always seem to need while travelling but can never be found when you really need them. Don’t miss the charging station to the left of the stove/oven! The bathroom is spacious and has a good tub for soaking or for long, hot showers. Once again, your host has made every effort to provide anything you might need for your personal grooming. A big fan of fluffy and absorbent bath towels, you will find enough to satisfy your needs during your stay at the cottage! The bedroom features a queen bed with fresh and crisp linens; the perfect place to lay your head after a long day in the high mountains or pounding the city streets shopping! Choose from three different pillow densities for the perfect nights sleep. Extra linens can be found in the bathroom cabinets to the left when you enter. Please refer to the House Book located under the charging station for information about our community, events, restaurants, breweries and other concierge services. Please feel free to contact the Host if there is something you need that is not available to you. The house is split into two areas: Front Cottage and Back Cottage. You will be staying in the Front Cottage directly accessible from S. Thurmond Street. There is a gated side patio area, to the left of the front entrance where the garbage cans and the BBQ are located. Feel free to relax and enjoy the shaded patio area. The Back Cottage is occupied full time by a Partner in the business who is not available for contact or questions. They work full-time and are off-site more often than not. The only possible area that you may run into someone is while/if you are hanging out in the side patio area! The Cottage is located in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood slightly SW of the downtown shopping district. Many of the homes in the neighborhood were built in the late 1900's, early 20th century and are on the historical register. There is an abundance of parking in front of the Cottage. Downtown is a 5 - 10 minute walk or there is plenty of free parking on and off Main street - there is no paid parking anywhere. The are 18 miles of paved trails in and around the city. Two thing to note: 1. The front door seals very tight; give it a good shove to open! 2. The mattress on the bed is quite thick and it may be difficult to climb into it. I have provide a non-slip step-stool that will support 300lbs. to aid those that need a little help climbing into bed.
