Marblehead offers parks, beaches, shops, museums, walking trails and restaurants just a few minutes away. The central focal point of the home is the Living Room, with a stone fronted fireplace and soaring two-story high picture windows offering panoramic ocean views. A large custom made glass and wood coffee table is surrounded by welcoming couches and plush swivel chairs. A wooden chess set invites guests to gather for a friendly game. The formal Dining Room, directly adjacent to the Living Room, offers an oval shaped table with seating for eight, plus room for an additional four (extra chairs provided). Rockcleft’s gourmet Kitchen includes granite countertops, a center island with seating for two, a round table with seating for six (and room for two additional chairs), a SubZero refrigerator, a wine cooler, a Miele convection oven and microwave, a Miele gas stove, and a Miele dishwasher. It is fully stocked with all necessary cooking and serving implements, including double sets of silverware and china, serving pieces, pots and pans, utensils, and small appliances including a coffee maker, blender, toaster, electric skillet, and Crockpot. Plastic dishware for outdoor use on the deck is also provided. The Family Room at Rockcleft offers 180 degree panoramic views of the ocean plus two screened doors on either side of the room to access the backyard patios. A 58 inch flat screen television rises from the floor with the touch of a button, allowing for uninterrupted views when the TV is retracted. The Family Room also includes a bar stocked with all necessary glassware and supplies. The first floor Owner’s Suite includes two separate bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom/dressing area. The primary oceanfront bedroom includes a king size bed, a flat screen television mounted on the wall, and a small sitting area. From the front room, a hallway connects to two walk-in closets, a dressing table, and a bathroom with double sinks, dual head shower, whirlpool bathtub, and separate toilet closet with bidet. The back bedroom includes a queen size bed (ideal for young children or snoring spouses), another flat screen television set, and a reclining chair. Rockcleft’s Ocean Suite offers a king size bed, a balcony with two chairs and footrests, a flat screen television set, a massage chair, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a steam shower. The Garden Suite also offers a king size bed, a flat screen television set mounted on the wall, a round game/work table and chairs, and separate toilet and shower areas. Rockcleft’s Bunk Suite, with two twin over full bunk beds, offers a perfect space for siblings or cousins to enjoy spending time together. The connected bathroom offers a shower/tub combination. Luxurious down comforters grace every bed throughout the house, and the bathrooms are stocked with plush white towels and organic bath supplies. Rockcleft includes two additional spaces for guests. The first is an Exercise Room, which offers a treadmill and a stationary bicycle, both made by LifeFitness, as well as a HealthRider total body workout machine. The exercise room includes a comfortable daybed, allowing it to be easily used as an additional sleeping space. The second space is an oceanfront Office with custom bookshelves, 180 degree ocean views, and a balcony. A half bath is available nearby. A twin size rollaway with full thickness mattress is available to convert this room into an additional bedroom if needed. Rockcleft also includes a large Game Room with built-in desk, a train table, a knock hockey table, a foosball table, and a playhouse hidden under the stairs. The closets are well stocked with books, games and toys. For families with children, a highchair, playpen, crib and booster seat can be provided upon request. An additional half bathroom is available right outside the Game Room. Outside, guests will find a backyard deck featuring a large stone table and chairs, recliners, a barbecue, and (during the summer months) a hot tub overlooking the ocean. The primary public access beach is located about a mile away, just across the causeway that connects Marblehead Neck to the mainland. Beach towels are available in Rockcleft’s linen closet for guest use. Most of the house is available for guest use. There are a couple of rooms closed off for owners' storage. Marblehead Neck is one of Boston's North Shore most exclusive neighborhoods. It is home to two yacht clubs and Chandler-Hovey park which houses our famous Marblehead lighthouse. The nearest beach is Devereaux Public Beach, just across the causeway that connects Marblehead mainland to the Neck. In the middle of the Neck is Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, with a few short trails for light walking. The town center is just a short 2 miles away (a 5 minute drive) where you will find restaurants of all varieties - numerous choices for both fine and casual dining as well as many indoor and outdoor entertainment venues, a number of arts & crafts shops, art galleries, a movie theater, a bird sanctuary, and a couple of supermarkets. Marblehead is perfectly balanced between the old and the new, with many houses dating from the 1600s as well as newer homes designed to take advantage of the beautiful landscape. You will need a car to get around. In town there is ample parking in town parking lots or alongside the the streets.
