Door County, Wisconsin is a special place in it's own right but Ephraim is a quiet village perfect for families that want to experience an authentic Door County vacation. Families can experience a simpler life, couples can reignite the flame, outdoor enthusiasts can hike, bike or kayak, gals that want girl time can shop til they drop, guys that love to boat, fish, and golf can, and for everyone else in between you'll feel at home while staying in your cottage on 3 acres in gorgeous Door County. This cottage has everything you need to relax, unwind, and reconnect with family, friends, and even make new friends. Your kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare 3 meals per day. There is a full bathroom. There are two bedrooms (1 queen/2 twins). The living room boasts new furniture, a fire place, Spectrum cable TV, boosted WiFi, AC and baseboard heat. Outdoors there is a picnic table and BBQ grill along with deck chairs (this cottage does not have a deck) but is the closet to the fire pit. From your cottage you can enjoy a starry night. Walk two minutes to the Ephraim beach for some sand and a swim. Join the other guests in our surrounding cottages for stories, laughter and smores around the fire pit. Parking is right next to your cottage. This cottage fits two cars max. No trailers without permission. Guests have access to entire property which includes large grassy areas, children's playground, community fire pit, and quite back roads. Guests do not have access to the other cottages located on the property. We live on the back of the property at the main house and office. You are welcome to pop in and say Hi. We are a wealth of information because we are life-long residents of Ephraim and of Door County. Oh, and if the fire pit is roaring, we are out there to enjoy conversation with you. Ephraim is a village with a true village feel. Within walking distance you will find a delicious breakfast spot called Good Eggs, homemade fudge at the Door County Confectionery, creamy ice cream at Wilson's Restaurant, and the Best Fish Boil in the entire county at the Old Post Office. You are two minutes away from incredible sunsets, a sandy beach and blocks away from a number of art galleries, quaint shops, and Village historical sites. If the outdoor life is what you crave, Peninsula State Park with its hiking and biking trails is a short car drive from the cottage. Are you a theatre buff? Northern Sky Theatre is located in Peninsula State Park and for movie lovers the drive-in theater with a nightly double feature is right up the road. Want to sight see? Take a Trolley tour. Love wine? Door County has a plethora of wineries with tours and tastings ready for you to enjoy. Brand new sidewalks in the Village make getting around easier whether you walk, bike, skate, or ride a segway. The speed limit for motor vehicles is 25 mph so you don't have to worry about unsafe traffic. You will want to bring the following items for your stay: 1. Charcoal and lighter fluid if you enjoy grilling (we may have some left over from guests) 2. Beach towels. Available for rent at $5/week/person. 3. Doggie bed, crate, bowls, towels for muddy feet and doggie duty bags. 4. Spices/Salt/Pepper as well as foil, plastic wrap and ziploc bags.
