Fantastic Location Inside the Park! Situated high among the pine trees, Bird's-eye Vista is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. During snowy months, this cabin only has 1 parking spot. Yosemite National Park is now requiring park reservations on peak days. As this property is inside of the Yosemite National Park gates, park reservations are included with this rental. Park entrance fees still apply. Fantastic Location Inside the Park! Situated high among the pine trees, Bird's-eye Vista is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. It's not unusual to catch a glimpse of wildlife such as deer, coyotes, chipmunks, and birds. You will enjoy a bird's-eye view of pine forests and the Merced River Canyon. Now with air-conditioning for the upstairs 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The downstairs bedroom and den do not have air-conditioning. Relax on the spacious deck, patio, and bedroom balconies and enjoy glorious sunsets. Enjoy views from every room, in the cozy living area near the gas fireplace and even from the king-sized bathtub and the enclosed glass shower in the master bathroom. Located just minutes away from the most visited sights in the Park! The driveway is on a slope with a narrow parking spot at the top. There's room for at least one more car on the driveway. Cement steps, about 12, lead up to the house and there are stairs inside.. so be prepared for a bit of exercise on arrival. If you don't mind the extra steps, we believe you will find Bird's-eye Vista as peaceful and delightful as we do! Welcome to our new mountain home! A nature lover's dream, the cabin is filled with sunlight and lovely views from every room, deck, and balcony. Spot birds and chattering chipmunks from the decks and if you are lucky, be awed by some of Yosemite's other wild animals. Be inspired by the mountains, forest, and glorious sunsets in front of you! Fun for couples and families! Large windows and French doors await you to admire the views. The house is cozy and well-equipped with quality bedding, games for children and adults, CDs, and DVDs for your enjoyment. Whether it's snowshoeing and sledding right outside your door or stargazing and grilling on the deck, your stay will be a trip to remember. The parking spaces are at the very top in the narrow area by the cement steps. There's room for 2 cars to park in this narrow lane during summer & fall, and during winter & spring there is 1 parking spot. For unloading passengers and bags, feel free to park midway so you have more room. After unloading you can then move your vehicle up into the parking area. It's somewhat steep and the elevation is 6,000 feet so be aware you may feel out of breath. We find that sort of bucket-brigade approach to unloading makes it easier... one or two bring supplies to the house and others bring them upstairs to the living areas. Take your time, and enjoy the bird's eye view! When excited, back up carefully until you can proceed forward down the other side of the horseshoe - it is steep so go slowly and be aware of the dip at the bottom. While Bird's-eye Vista is situated on a mountain slope to take advantage of the expansive forest views and the Merced Valley, a bit of patience and neighborly cooperation is so appreciated. We have this question a lot and I’m sorry, the answer is no, It takes time to prepare a home this size, so we ask you kindly not to ask, Thank you! We provide you with dishware, cookware, silverware, blankets, pillows, linens and towels. Condiments provided are hot chocolate, Folgers coffee and filters, sugar packets, cream packets, Lipton tea, and salt & pepper. We also provide dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and free firewood for our Yosemite West properties. All our properties come equipped with propane BBQs, and we provide the propane This is a self-catering unit you may contact the property manager if you need help by using the touchtone phone in the unit. There is a "Welcome to Yosemite" binder in the unit as well. Quiet hours are from 10PM until 8AM. My cabin is nestled in the Yosemite West. The nearest dining facilities is in Yosemite Valley, which is about 20 minutes from this area. You do need a vehicle to get around. During the snow season, chains are required to have on hand, there is 1 parking spot during snow season. This cabin has 2 parking spots during summer & fall. Snow chains are required from November through the end of April during snowy conditions. No cell service, no gps service in Yosemite
