Surrounded by historic buildings dotted among the vineyards, The Martinborough Hotel is a 1-minute walk from the Martinborough Wine Center. Cape Palliser is a 55-minute drive away. The Hotel's restaurant Union Square Bistro, led by Michellin star chef Adam Newell, offers beautiful food in relaxing surroundings. Union Square Bar, with its collection of memorabilia and historic photos, provides a comfortable space where locals and guests alike can relax in front of the cozy fire. The wine list includes a selection of wines that have been grown and made within walking distance of the hotel. All rooms at The Hotel Martinborough feature a private bathroom with hairdryer, toiletries and bathrobes. Heating and fans are provided. The Heritage Suites are a mix of old world charm with accents of contemporary decor. Larger in size than a Heritage Room, these suites are located in the original hotel building, featuring aged wooden floors, luxurious Persian rugs and Chinese porcelain. Other features include tea and coffee making facilities, a mini fridge with artisan water and local juice, fresh flowers, quality bed linen, satellite TV, ironing facilities and a hairdryer. You can open up the French doors and view the picturesque Martinborough Square below. Some rooms include a deep clawfoot bath, while others offer a walk-in shower. Please note there is no capacity for additional guests.
