Mountain Village is the ski-hub and Telluride is more of the town. The 2 towns are connected by a free gondola, which takes about 13-minutes from one side to the other. The Telluride/Mountain Village gondola is a one-of-a-kind transportation system. This 8-mile, 13-minute ride the ride offers incredible 365-degree views of the San Juan mountains. Taking a ride on the “G” is the best way to get from Mountain Village to Telluride, and our lodge is only about a 5-minute walk (or 30-second free shuttle ride) away from the gondola station! Gondola Hours of Operation: 6:30 a.m.-Midnight* *The gondola is closed during “off-seasons” which happen from mid-April to mid-May and mid-October to mid-November (the FREE local bus starts running in place of the gondola) Off-Season in Telluride: We would also like our guests to know the ski resort, free gondola, most of the restaurants, bars and out door activities will be CLOSED for the shoulder season starting on April 5th 2021 and will reopen May 27th 2021. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. Off-Season is our shoulder season where the gondola shuts down (the FREE local bus starts running in place of the gondola), as do many restaurants.
