Magic Bedouin Star Camp
Description
Hello! My name is Raad. I come from a large Bedouin family and I have always lived here in the desert. It is my pleasure to help share the Bedouin lifestyle with people who visit! I have a home in the village of Wadi Rum, and also some traditional Bedouin goat hair tents out in the desert where guests can stay. We can also provide 'Zarb', traditional Bedouin dinner cooked underground in an earth oven! If you stay in the tents then dinner and breakfast can be included. The space The tents are traditional Bedouin style, made from goat hair. In the morning you can enjoy the sunrise from your tent window and in the evening you can see the sunset from a rocky outcrop. We have a common area where guests can relax or smoke shisha, and where we sometimes play Bedouin music or have dancing. Our desert tents also have access to hot water and a shower! Guest access In my home I have a welcome room, where guests can relax when they arrive. In the desert there are 7 bedouin tents with clean and comfortable beds, which are equipped with pillows, blankets and electricity (one plug and one light). There is also one big tent like a canteen where you can enjoy your meal, smoke shisha or access Wifi (when available - this is the desert after all!). Other things to note Please be aware that this is in the desert. The desert is quiet and magical, but also very hot, windy and sandy. Also be aware that in the evening it can get quite cool! It is advisable to bring an extra layer or jacket for the evenings. Please also be aware that there is a 5JOD entrance fee to get to Wadi Rum village. If you are interested, we also offer a wide range of tours: Explore the desert by jeep, by camel or even on foot. Enjoy the stars!
