We are an event center but do not have events or weddings during your stay. This cozy one-bedroom cottage is set against the tree line. In the morning, enjoy coffee on the private porch, go snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, or canoeing in and around Brule River State Forest in the afternoon, and watch a few movies in the evening. The space The Cottage has an open living area, a single bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a full bathroom featuring a clawfoot tub/shower combo. The living room has a pull-out sofa that can sleep two. TV is internet TV only—log in with your streaming services! We also have several board games. We strive for five stars, so please let us know immediately if anything needs to be corrected so we can fix the situation as soon as possible. We want your stay with us to be memorable! Guest access The Cottage is one of many buildings on the property that make up the Brule River Barn Wedding and Event Center. We won't have an event or wedding while you're here so that you can access the Cottage and its garden, the parking area, and the outdoor smoking area. Entry into any other buildings is prohibited. The parking area may be shared if there are guests in the Farmhouse at the same time. The woods behind the Cottage are not part of our property, so they are off-limits. Other things to note We host weddings and other events from Memorial Day through mid-October. Rentals and events do not happen simultaneously, and parties are not allowed during your rental. If you want a wedding or event, please visit the Brule River Barn's website. We are connected to many miles of ATV and snowmobiling trails, including the Tri-County Corridor, and we are about 12 miles from the mouth of the Brule River, so our location is great for parking your snowmobile, ATV or boat right in the yard. We have plenty of parking spaces that meet your needs. The Cottage has no smoking, vaping, candles, or flames. There is a designated outdoor smoking area listed in the house manual. We have a firepit (with firewood) and a propane grill (with propane) from the spring through late fall. We only provide these during the summer months. Note: There is another listing - The Farmhouse at Brule River Barn - also on this property if you want more space, though you will still have plenty of privacy and play if you rent the Cottage only! We are licensed as a tourist rooming house in Douglas County and undergo annual inspections by the health department. Our facility ID is KZUN-AACQMR.
