The Brass Room is located up the main staircase on the 2nd floor of the Windward House Inn. This deluxe bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized brass bed and traditional décor. A unique highlight of the Brass room is its spacious private deck which overlooks the back gardens of the property, with Mt. Battie in the distance. The large en-suite bathroom features a walk-in shower. Although brass is used aboard ships for nautical instruments and also refers to high ranking military officers, the origin of brass used in the nautical context is unclear. At Windward, the Brass Room takes its name because of its proximity to the harbor and the number of passengers, crew and captains who chose to stay here while docking their boats in the harbor. All guest rooms include a complimentary two course, fresh, made to order, breakfast. Guest access Private Queen bedroom with en suite bathroom and private outdoor deck. Other areas include all outdoor spaces including firepit, front porch and back porch. Guests can also use the living room in the Inn as well as a guest pantry with 24 hour coffee, Twinings Teas and snacks.
