Local Hosts - Great Guest Reviews - Western Vibes!
Historic homestead - Walk to Mainstreet, City Park, community center, and river walk. Base camp to your Sinks Canyon and the Wind River mountain excursions. 1 queen bed and an 82" non-pullout sofa will sleep up to 3 adults. This little home was one of the earlier settlements established here in Lander, so keep in mind that it is no spring chicken. We have worked diligently to provide a fresh and modern experience, while maintaining as much character as we could. We hope you enjoy its charm! The space A cozy, historic, cottage-like feel, but updated to provide the benefits of a modern living space. Fast Wi-Fi will support streaming. New furnishings and chic decorations. In the living area, a smart 43" Samsung TV with Roku invites you to relax and chill at the end of the day. The bedroom is furnished with a lovely wooden Bassett queen-sized bed and a brand new memory foam mattress. The kitchen has been fully rebuilt with brand new custom cabinets, which have been fully stocked with all the essentials of a modern kitchen. Any special requests? Just ask and we'll try our best to get it! The bright bathroom is small but complete and finished with luxury porcelain wall tiles in the shower and a Carrera marble vanity top. The backyard offers a private space where you can grill, chill, and relax after a day of fun in the valley of Wyoming's Wind River range. In the summer you'll stay nice and cool with an oversized, smart Portable A/C (no window shakers!). Set the thermostat and it will do the rest. Guest access Arrive on your own schedule and access the home using the smart Schlage Encode security system. Your access code will be active from your check-in day and time, up until you have checked out. You will enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your vehicle has private off-street parking which is accessed from the alley. Other things to note Note to the tall folks! This house was built back when people came in slightly smaller sizes. The main living room and bedroom have standard ceiling heights, however the kitchen and bathroom areas have shorter ceilings. From personal experience I am 6'1" and have zero problems in any of the spaces, but if you are over 6'5" you may begin to feel a little cramped. Also the eaves (overhang) is rather low and you will need to watch your head so you don't bump it. Some details on the sofa - We've gotten a lot of great feedback on the sofa: it's chic, comfy, beautiful, etc. We've also received some notes that the sofa was not exactly what guests were anticipating. So we thought we might clarify some of the additional details and let guests know what to expect. Firstly, it is not a sleeper sofa. If you are traveling with 3 guests, the sofa is a valid sleeping space, but at the end of the day (pun intended) it's still just a sofa. Next, the seating level is lower than your average sofa. The seating surface is about 13" above the ground. For reference, a milk crate is 11" high. Guests that have had previous knee/hip surgeries or any mobility issues, might find that the low seating surface is not ideal.
