The House on the Hill Historic Home

Enjoy a private room in this spacious two-story, historic Marysville home. This carpeted room features a full size pillow top mattress for your comfort. This room is on the second floor. A room may be available on the first floor by request. Enjoy access to all public areas of the home: game room, reading room, living room & fire pit. We have a Keurig and a variety of beverage cups. Bring your favorite K-Cup. The bathroom is shared with other guests. If you are the only guests, it is not shared. The space The House on The Hill was built in 1910/1911. The craftsman style home proudly features beautiful original woodwork and hardwood floors. Many windows are leaded glass. Most of the home is shared with guests. There are plenty of options for privacy or socializing. There are 2 TVs featuring Dish, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+. There's a quality pool table in the game room for your enjoyment. Of course we don't mind if you enjoy adult beverages while relaxing. If you're so inclined, we would love to hear you play the baby grand that has been in the home for decades. Guest access We welcome you to our home. We will respect your privacy and not go into your room, unless you request something. We ask that you do the same for us. Rooms available for your use include: Living Room, Dining Room, Reading Room, Game Room, Bathroom, Sunroom and Laundry Room. The kitchen is available for snacks and beverages. The heated garage is available for pets that are kept in their kennels. Puppy bags are available so you can pick up after them in the lawn. Of course, the basement is available during tornado season. During your stay We both work, but Mary's schedule is fairly flexible and she is home most evenings. If you want privacy, you can have that. If you want someone to visit with, we are always happy to get to know our guests. Mary loves to play Cribbage, so if you're a fan, she'll be up for a game. Michael & Mary both enjoy shooting a little pool and will be happy to join you in a game. Other things to note This room is for two guests. We are happy to accommodate extra guests. If there are more than 2 guests per room, the is a $5 per night/per person charge. We have a grandfather clock. We are happy to stop if it the chimes might bother you. We try to remember to ask, but if we forget please tell us so we can stop the clock during your stay.
