So it is quiet and peaceful but only a short walk to downtown for shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is well-equipped for meal prep. The new and expanded private patio is great for eating, relaxing, and viewing the abundant wildlife. Enjoy BBQ on the gas grill or relax around the outdoor gas fire pit. The cabin has high speed internet so you can research and plan all of the activities that are available in the area. Enhanced cleaning protocol is in place. The bathroom is small but updated with new shower, vanity, and toilet. This cabin has easy year-round accessibility, although in winter an all-wheel drive may be required for the 200' drive that is steep (5% to 7% grade). I usually make it up in the winter with my Prius, so it just depends. It's just off of the main paved Virginia Drive and up a private gravel driveway that is also called Virginia Drive. The house is off of the main road, nestled among pine trees in one of the original Estes Park neighborhoods that is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Yet, it is just a short 5-10 minute walk to downtown Estes Park. Hike and enjoy the outdoors at Rocky Mountain National Park. The Fall River entrance is 4 miles away. Explore and enjoy the crystal clear mountain lakes, streams and waterfalls. Gaze upon herds of majestic elk, moose, deer and Rocky Mountain sheep, foxes, wolves and bears. Then enjoy all that Estes Park Village has to offer. Downtown is a short 1/3 mile walk away. The grocery store is also only less than a mile away. The 1921 Cabin is close enough to walk to many places. Also Estes Park has 6 free shuttle routes that fan out from the Visitor Center during the summer. There's even a free shuttle bus that can take you to Rocky Mountain Park. The cabin is 2 miles from the RMNP north entrance. RMNP requires reservation for entry in the summer season. Although you'll be experiencing the great outdoors and enjoying the mountain community, we do have TV, Netflix, a DVD player, and high speed internet at the cabin. Relax with a movie or relax with the gas fireplace - your choice! The studio cabin has an updated kitchen and is well supplied with equipment, appliances, and utensils. We also provide snacks, coffee, a drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, french press, and a tea kettle. Note: The outdoor living space was expanded in 2021 and 2022. There are multiple places to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Take a nap on the chaise lounges or kick back around the gas fire pit. Dine on 3 different private patios. There are at least 3 laundromats in Estes Park. The closest one is in the corner of the Safeway shopping center called Dad's Maytag Laundry. There is also "Village Laundry" and also "Estes Park Laundracenter". I think they all allow you to do your own laundry but also they have a drop off service.
