|| The Upper Room || Our home is conveniently located with quick access to I-26 and I-20, just a 15-20 minute drive from major hospitals in the area, and centrally located between Lexington, Irmo and downtown Columbia. For your enjoyment, our home has easy access to recreational activities including Lake Murray Dam and Saluda Shoals Park. Both great for picnics or walking/running. The space Your private room and detached bathroom are furnished and equipped with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The bedroom has a full size bed, a desk for working during your stay, and a kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig machine. Coffee and tea supplies are provided at check-in. You also have access to FREE high-speed WiFi and a Roku TV where you can log in to your favorite streaming services and enjoy in-room entertainment. Guest access We have recently updated this space to give our guests more privacy! There is now a wall that separates your space from ours, more like a duplex set-up. There is also an office space across from your bedroom that we may periodically need to access (we are both nursing students). The door to this room remains locked even when we are in it and we will communicate with you if we need to access the office room to ensure that we maintain your privacy during your stay! Other things to note We have three, very sweet and hypoallergenic doodle mixes. They will remain in our living space with the wall separation and have no access to your space. You may occasionally hear them barking, especially if the mail carrier comes by, but we do our best to ensure that they do not bother you! We do live in the bottom half of the duplex, so you will hear our day to day noises like us cooking food, chatting about our work week, or running the dishwasher/laundry machine. Your living space is on the opposite side of the house with good sound protection in between, so you should not be bothered. Please don't hesitate to let us know if noise ever becomes an issue.
