We rarely need air conditioning at our 1700 ft elevation, but there is a portable A/C unit in the cabin for guests to use on warm days. We also provide a Dehumidifier. Guests will be required to go up one flight of stairs to reach the main level of the cabin. We provide guests with a very relaxing and enjoyable rain forest experience. The cabin is on-grid so you'll have plenty of dependable electricity. Private & Quiet Location. One large bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed & closet area, and a second 80 square foot room for suitcases, clothes, etc., one half bath on the upper main level (with a toilet and sink) and a second half bath on the lower level (with a beautiful walk in shower and sink). Fully functional beautiful kitchen, dehumidifier, floor fans, covered patio area on the lower level, covered lanai on the upper level, recently renovated so everything is like new. Parking is free and right in front of the cabin (gravel driveway, walkways and parking area). No dirt or mud to walk through. Owners/Hosts live in a cabin on the property next door, but there are plenty of trees and landscaping dividing the two properties, so both the owner and guests have complete privacy during your stay. The owner is usually close by if you have any questions or need anything. The host will not disturb guests during their stay unless asked to stop by. There aren't any neighbors or homes on the surrounding properties on our side of the street. No animals on our properties to wake you up early. Peaceful, private and secure vacation rental. The last 1/4 mile of road leading to our cabin is an unpaved gravel road, but it's kept in good condition. Guests will have the entire cabin and property to themselves, except for a small enclosed storage area on the lower level that's used by the Host for house keeping and maintenance supplies. Self check-in allows our guests to immediately settle in upon arrival. The host will be in the area and available if needed. Quiet rural neighborhood. Cooler daily temperatures at this elevation. Great weather for sleeping at night. Beautiful surroundings. Volcano National Park is about 15 miles away (house is in between Hilo and Volcano). Located 1/4 mile from paved road, but the dirt road is in great shape, mostly flat, and always accessible. Half bath with walk-in shower & sink on the lower level.
