This house is located within walking distance of Adidas, University of Portland and 5 minutes to Daimler HQ and Vigor Shipyard. Only 10 minutes to downtown. Fully fenced yard and close proximity to scenic Willamette Street which has great sunsets and scenic views. The house is a cute remodeled craftsman. It has a full kitchen, living room and dining room. It is roughly 1,500 square feet, but lives much bigger due to the clever use of space. It has two bedrooms plus bonus room that is attached to the master. The master has one queen size memory foam bed and small work desk. The second bedroom has a queen mattress, with small work desk. The house can sleep five comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher and pots, pans and everything to make a quick meal or a big feast. The house has a full bath on the main floor. The living and dinning room are large and open. Comfortably accommodating eight. Even if it is raining you can have coffee on the deck and watch the squirrels play in the backyard. The backyard is fully fenced and private. The house would also be ideal for business travelers. It has high speed internet (100MbPs fiber service). Notes: 1: I allow pets on a case by case basis and with additional fee. Send me a note to inquire about bringing your pet. 2: The house has very steep stairs going up to the upstairs bedrooms. Might not be the best fit for people with knee problems or other impairments that would make it difficult to climb stairs. The lot has two units on the lot. Unit A is the darker gray house towards the front of the lot. You will access the house through an electronic keypad located on the side door. Parking is either on the left side of the driveway by the side door or on the street. I leave interactions to guests as I know each guest is different and some like privacy and some like more interactions. It is all up to you! I love this neighborhood! It is one of the reasons I decided to invest and build a second house. It is convenient to all of Portland via car and has above average connections via transit. The house is located between the Overlook and Arbor Lodge Neighborhoods (technically Arbor Lodge, but Overlook neighborhood is two houses down). What I love about this neighborhood? I could go on forever, but here is a good list: 1). Scenic walks or runs are just around the corner on the quietest park of Willamette Blvd. See sunsets, city lights, views of the marine terminals, and Forest Park. 2). Location: Relatively close to transit, 10 to 15 minutes to downtown, plenty of restaurants are within walking distance, Adidas is five minute walk and University of Portland about ten. New Seasons, and Fred Meyers is close by for grocery shopping. 3). Food and Brews: Portland is well known for its great food and brewery culture. The house is close to many good restaurants. For one Madrona Hill Cafe is right around the corner along with the Barlow Tavern. I regularly walk my dog along scenic Willamette Blvd. then up Killingsworth Street, which is quickly being recognized as having a great selection of restaurants, pubs, and spas. This location is ideal if you have a car, because you get plenty of free parking and the house is central to all parts of Portland. If you rely on mass transit the bus stop is only three blocks away (#35). It is located on the corner of Greeley and Ainsworth and will take you downtown in 18 minutes. If you bike this is a great area to enjoy scenic bike rides as the very beautiful Willamette Blvd. is only located one block away and is home to many atheletic events related to bikes and running. For just getting around town Uber and Lyft are good options and are roughly about a ten dollar fare to downtown or to Mississippi or Alberta streets. Bolt bus is a great option if you are heading up to Seattle. Great location for attending events at the Expo and Moda Centers, working at Adidas or attending or visiting University of Portland. Please read this before you book: 1. The nice thing about my location is I have plenty of free street parking and also one reserved parking spot in the driveway. I am also centrally located to most of Portland. If you rely on mass transit, please review my suggestions on bus route etc. Any questions just ask. Thanks. 2. House comfort – The house is well insulated and stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Both downstairs and upstairs have ductless heat pumps, which heats and cools. 3. City Permit: Portland requires permits for all short term rental operators. That means I can only accommodate five over night guests at one time. This is a requirement city wide and if you are renting a place that allows more they are in violation of the law. 4. Exterior Security Cameras: I have installed a security camera to monitor the driveway area. This is to help me manage the property when I am not on site (ensuring arrival of cleaning crews, assisting guests if they have issues with accessing the property or monitoring for security purposes when vacant). The cameras cannot see into any private space, but I think it is important to disclose it and to let you know what purpose they provide.
