Situated on two and a half acres, 3 miles from the expressway (one and a half of which are unpaved), this is serenity at its best! ***** Please note the 1.5 miles of unpaved road is seasonally affected by weather: snow, ice, rain, mud, etc. The unpaved roads can vary from quite smooth to pretty bumpy and, like our Michigan weather, are quickly changeable so you never know what you're going to get! :- ) This means travelling on the unpaved portion of your trip here will be a bit slower than on a paved road, so PLEASE BE SURE the benefits of staying in a clean, peaceful, private, beautiful space outweigh the 'adventure' of driving on an unpaved road! Did I mention the road to get here is 1.5 miles and unpaved!? ;- ) On rare occasions, it becomes necessary to take a slightly longer route to get here due to seasonal flooding on a particularly low area of the 'main' road leading to our home from the east. The apartment/guest suite is attached to, but completely separate from, our home and while we're always available to answer questions and offer assistance, we will definitely respect your privacy. My husband does have a shop in a separate building on the property so you may see him walking between the house and his shop. We are at the end of a private, unpaved road with only seven houses on it. It is very quiet with nature all around, which creates the feeling of being way out in the country with every convenience just 3 or so miles away. We are 6-7 miles (about 10-15 minutes) from the stadium and downtown Ann Arbor with all it has to offer, as well as conveniently located (~10-20 minutes) to the surrounding smaller communities of Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Pickney, Ypsilanti. Frutig Farms wedding venue is 2.3 miles away. Please note that due to slower travel on the UNPAVED portion of the road (about 1.5 miles) you will need to plan accordingly. If you are looking to be immersed in a 'downtown' experience, or aren't ok with driving on UNPAVED roads, then I can confidently say this is not a good fit for you! :-) You will need your own car. Uber is an option to get back and forth. You will need to drive about 1.5 miles on an UNPAVED road to get here. Please don't book this space and then leave a negative comment about having to drive on an UNPAVED road! :-) Please, no pets and no children under the age of 12. No smoking anywhere on property.
