A dedicated country cottage suite on an 8 acre horse farm located 10 minutes from I-40. Nestled in the woods and an easy country back road drive to get here. The tranquility and beauty of this property will make you want to book another night! Area is wonderful for long walks or that early morning jog. Minutes from shopping and easy access to town. Great for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers of all types. Come take a break from the hustle of life. The space The property is a farm! So while the room looks city comfy you are on a farm and in a rural farming community. 5 minutes either way on Windy City Road gets you to Humboldt or Jackson. So location is great to easily adventure out. A dorm refrigerator and microwave are available in the attached building to the guest suite. Please advise at booking if needed so that I can make it available. These are located in the utility shop. So nothing fancy but clean inside and work for short term stays. No cooking in the suite but small plates and utensils are available for dining in the room or patio outside of your room. There is a Keurig for coffee and tea and the best well water around. There is a large trash can for your extra trash in the shop. The fire pit on the guest patio is for your use. Plenty of wood for your evening if you would like a nice fire to relax by. Use this space for morning coffee or evening dining. A collection of easy listening music available for the Bose system. Guest access Please feel free to roam the property at your leisure. Say hi to all my animals, they are friendly and very socialized. Buddy (brown horse) and Cabana (pony) are the two rescue horses on the property. Please confirm if you would like to greet them during your stay. Handling occurs at your own risk and can only be done during my time with you. Do not under any circumstances unlock the gates and/or go into the barn stalls where the horses reside or into the pasture without my escort Zorro, the barn cat may greet you from time to time. He works hard at keeping critters under control in the barn and on the farm. Lincoln the lab is on the property if I am working on the farm. No matter what the animals tell you, don't let them in your room! Thanks. If you are roaming the farm make sure you use the multiple floor mats before entering the carpeted area of the guest suite. All kinds of things get tracked in on a !! Please remove your shoes in the hardwood area if your feet are unusually dirty which can happen on the farm! My property allows pets and they love it here! Multiples need to be approved ahead of time. I have hosted many but want to make sure it is a comfortable space for all. Guests with larger breed dogs are encouraged to book the main farm house. This room will not accommodate multiples of larger breeds. Other things to note You are in the country and from time to time you will see stray dogs. Please do not pet them or encourage them to hang out with you. Plenty of space for parking large vehicles, boats, moving trailers etc. if traveling through. I've had a variety of different animals and vehicles stay on the property with the fencing, barn and land available. Just let me know ahead of time what you have going on. At this point, I have hosted everything. I offer a concierge service on any stay at the farm. From meals and bar stocking on arrival, day excursions, to on-site massage during your stay-just let me know and it will be delivered!!
