Just steps to the Powder River and the peaceful and beautiful "River Walk" which takes you on an easy walk to Geiser-Pollman Park(City Park) where the Miner's Jubilee is staged during the summer months, around the band shell! Or ski Anthony Lakes with a discounted ticket, just a 45 minute drive and, at 7100', the highest chairlift in the state and some of the best powder skiing, too! Then there is the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, the Sumpter Gold Dredge state park and of course, the Swiss Alps of Oregon, the beautiful East Eagle mountains and glaciated Wallowa Lake! Or you can always fish or otherwise recreate at the Powder, East Eagle, Burnt or Snake Rivers or at one of the many lakes/reservoirs in the area!
