Relax in this cozy studio with beautiful Hood Canal views. Oyster Cove Guest Cottage is located above a garage with its own private entrance, kitchenette and covered backyard patio with gas BBQ. Enjoy seasonal kayaking, swimming and barbecuing from the shared 50' beachfront across the road. Watch eagles, blue herons and possibly see a pod of orca swim by, this is where you want to be! Just minutes from Alderbrook Resort, local shopping and activities. What an adorable studio on Hood Canal! And such a great jumping point to explore Hood Canal, the Olympic State Park or just spending the day at our beach. Please note that our kayaks are no longer available due to fall/winter conditions (wind, rain, snow etc). The studio is spacious and perfect for 2 adults. There are light snacks, a coffee maker with complimentary coffee. You have a propane BBQ in the covered patio area below your accommodation. Please note: Your heating source is the electric fireplace underneath the TV. See gauges to adjust heat to your desired temperature. We do not have AC but provided one tower fan. We plan to upgrade this system soon! Stay tuned. COMMON AREA: Your beach access is across the road and shared with the guests from the main house. There is outdoor furniture for dining, an umbrella, lounge chairs, complimentary kayaks, paddles and life vests. Or you are more than welcome to bring your own kayaks/paddle boards to launch from our beach. There is a shared propane BBQ at the beachfront. We kindly ask that you be respectful and courteous to our other guests when using the beach and ask the same of them when booking the main home. If you plan on entering the water be sure to bring water shoes as the oysters below can be quite sharp. Please be advised the owners quarters on the upstairs level of the main house so you may see them coming and going from time to time. Favorite things to do while staying here: -Relax, unwind, be captivated by nature. Our well maintained beachfront is one of the top highly rated reasons why guests love staying at Oyster Cove. Please note that no shellfish harvesting is allowed but feel free to bring oysters and clams in to enjoy at mealtime. -Hang out at the beach ALL. DAY. LONG. Swim, kayak, sunbath, sit and read! Then grill dinner and enjoy eating together while taking in the sunset. Grab some wine and truffles from Cameo Boutique & Wine Shop (tell them Kerry sent you!). -Enjoy Union! You are only minutes away from Alderbrook Resort & Spa (SUPs, chartered cruises and beautiful hiking trails), Union Square Deli pizza and other casual fare, Alderbrook Golf Club, Dos Margaritas, Union City Market, Dalby Water Wheel and much more. Note: During winter months the kayaks are not available. You have access to our SHARED BEACH, please be respectful of other guests accessing the sitting areas, fire pit and kayaks. You will have access to park one car in our uncovered private driveway. It is conveniently close to where you gain access to the guest cottage. You will need to climb a small flight of stairs to enter the accommodation with code sent to you prior to your arrival. As a longtime resident and owner of Hood Canal Events, a property management and event planning company, I am able to provide guests with exclusive concierge services when visiting the Hood Canal area. My team and I focus on creating intimate getaways, family vacations, corporate accommodations, custom itineraries, VIP amenities and PNW activities. I am extremely connected to our Mason County community leveraging all business and individual relationships to offer the best lodging, private chef services, wine & charcuterie cheese deliveries, gift baskets, live music and local attractions. I hope to make your Hood Canal trip memorable, unique and relaxing. Know as a super host, I am very responsive to voicemails, personal texts and messages from the booking platform. I also live 2 miles away from this property, so don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Let's plan your dream staycation today! Cheers, Kerry - #BeTheTraveler This property is located only 2 miles from Alderbrook Resort & Spa and its beautiful trail system, award winning dining room and dock. You are only minutes away from Cameo Boutique & Wine Shop, our historic Dalby Waterwheel, Robin Hood Village Resort, Dos Margaritas, Union Country Store and the Union City Market. Our neighborhood is considered safe and very quiet, but know you have close neighbors on each side of your accommodation. Remember adventure? Visit Union Washington and rediscover the outdoors, take in the sunsets over the mountains in the neighboring Olympic National Park, where Mt. Washington, Mt. Constance, and the Brothers rise across Hood Canal forming a breathtaking vista from almost any point in Union. It's no wonder that Union holds the title of the first artist colony in Washington. Enjoy live music throughout the neighborhood nearly every day of the week. Current attractions include working farms and roadside markets, the world-class Alderbrook golf course and clubhouse open to the public, Hood Canal Marina and public boat launch, organic gardens and public labyrinth at Harmony Hill Retreat Center, live music, and of course, the deep saltwater fjord of Hood Canal. Today, visitors come for summers of sunshine and shellfish, and the annual return of the salmon. As well as the introspection of winter, to watch the herons out on the docks, motionless at high tide. There is always a wide variety of arts activities, as well as boating, fishing, hunting, shellfishing, hiking, kayaking and birding in Union. State Route 106 is our main highway in Union, but some side roads are worth mentioning like Dalby Road which takes you to our local bank, gas station and coffee shop. McReavy Road takes you to the city of Shelton where you can find Walmart and larger grocery stores. Our famous Highway 101 heading north takes you to neighboring towns like Hoodsport, Lilliwaup and Hama Hama. Please use extra caution when exiting from your driveway, State Route 106 can be very busy during peak summer and fall months. You have one uncovered private (away from the road) parking spot. -DUE TO OUR SEPTIC NO EXTRA GUESTS ARE ALLOWED - please be mindful and only flush toilet paper in our toilets. -Keep kayaks locked up at the beach (see Kerry for code) - due to weather and the fluctuating tides kayaks can easily blow off and floating away so it is important to return the kayaks back to where we store and lock them up (LEFT SIDE OF THE BEACH, LOOK FOR THE CEMENT ANCHOR) Please be sure to bring wood if you plan to use the waterfront fire pit as it is not provided. Or you can purchase some at the local Chevron gas station off of Dalby Road (only a couple miles away).
