The cabin is located in minutes of all the hot spots of the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge St Park. If you are going to Muir Valley to climb you are in walking distance. So you will not have to pay their 15 dollar parking fee. There are porches to relax on while drinking your morning coffee or having your evening meal.. There is a fire pit where you can set and watch the moon come up. If you are looking for a place that is economically priced this is the cabin for you. The Moon Glow is a tiny rustic 448 square ft. cabin. It has a lot to offer in it's small space. The original part of the cabin was built from trees we harvested from the property that it is located on. It was our first building project and we are proud of the work we put into it. The queen size bed is built from wood that came from a 100 plus year old barn here on the farm. The counter top was built from a maple tree harvested here also here on the farm. The inside of the addition of the cabin that we have just finished has wood that is over a 100 year old and old medal that we salvaged from buildings that was on the farm that the cabin is located on. The cabin is really rustic which gives a homey country feel that I think you will enjoy and appreciate. The cabin has a metal roof so on rainy days you can stay in and watch Netflix, read a book or take a nap. We hope you enjoy your visit in our cozy little cabin. The cabin is close to the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge St Park. It is also close to the ATV trails. Extra guest must be approved before booking. Anyone found on property without being approved will be considered trespassing. We live here on the property if you need us for anything. Our house is just over the hill out of sight of the cabin. So, if you need us for anything we can be there in just minutes. The cabin is within a short drive to areas like Red River Gorge Zipline, Natural Bridge State Park, The Gorge Underground kayaking, Daniel Boone National Park(Red River Gorge) and in walking distance to Muir Valley Nature Reserve which has hiking and climbing areas which you can walk to from the cabin. Also just a short drive to eating places such as Miguel's Pizza, The Rock House Restaurant, Sky Bridge Station, Red Point BBQ, and La Cabana Mexican restaurant. You will need a car to see the area. The only thing you are in walking distance to is Muir Valley climbing. Weather and Driving Conditions: Though significant winter storms are rare, may require 4 wheel drive during winter storms. We are not responsible for getting you to the cabin. Refunds are not given due to inclement weather, unless the roads here are closed. The cabin is equipped with a kitchen that has a 2 burner stove top, (no oven), microwave, coffee pot, slow cooker, toaster and 2 refrigerators. I supply cookware, utensils, dish soap, and dish towels for cleaning your dishes. Dishes and glassware are supplied. There is a Roku TV in each sleeping area.
