You are invited to discover your own exceptional private oasis right in the center of Florence. After an exciting and fun filled day of sightseeing, you can find peace and quiet...just steps away from the hustle. One of our great Review! We had the pleasure of staying in Claudia's beautiful apartment while visiting our daughter who is studying in Florence. We arrived on Christmas day, which we expected to be less than convenient, but Claudia was gracious enough to let our daughter store some food in the kitchen and provide her with a key in advance so that we did not need to disturb anybody's holiday with our arrival. Additionally, the kitchen was stocked with water, juice, coffee, a fresh fruit basket, and wonderful olive oil that Claudia bottles herself. The apartment was spacious enough for the 4 of us to not feel crowded. It was well furnished, with comfortable beds and linens. WiFi, heat, and hot water were all in excellent working order. We were even able to comfortably prepare meals in the kitchen. The location was fabulous...convenient walking distance to everything in Florence, and a true upscale residential neighborhood. Neighborhood restaurants and shops were all very nice. We look forward to staying at Borgo Pinti again on our next visit to Florence.' To the whole apartment! No shared area! No lift. The Apartment is located on the Borgo Pinti, an enchanted street of shops, stores, and lovely restaurants, and home to artisans and artists. The two apartments are close to everything. The apartment is very close to all the most important sights and 15 minutes walk from the train station. The airport is 25 minutes taxi ride it cost about euro 25. We suggest to take a Taxi from Train station to the apartment, 5 minutes drive. Here a review wrote by a past guest: First off, it was great working with Claudia to reserve her apartment. Could not have been easier. The apartment itself was very nicely appointed and comfortable, plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 couples). The kitchen was well equipped, well stocked. The location was great as well. We ate at 3 different restaurants recommended by Claudia, which were literally less than a 3 min walk away (the farthest one!). All were fantastic. There was also a large market about 10 min walk from the apartment. We opted to take the 4 hour cooking class that Claudia recommended and it was one of the highlights of the trip. Barbara Antonucci was a great cooking instructor and we all have a new appreciation for what it takes to create an authentic Italian meal from scratch. We would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone looking to stay in Florence. Last time my wife and i were here we stayed up in Fiesole, which was nice but staying in the city center was a much better experience. ...................................................................................................................... Our private chef, Barbara, met us at the apartment, took us to the outdoor market and then came back to teach our cooking class at the apartment. Our tour guide, Nicola, took us to San Gimignano, arranged a lunch and wine tasting in Chianti then on to Siena and Panzano. Both days were delightful with charming and knowledgeable guides leading the way. Our stay in Florence for 12 days was extraordinary and Borgo Pinti is like a home away from home. Claudia definitely puts great time and love into ensuring that her guests are happy and well taken care of during their stay. CITY TAX: 4.00 euro per person per day, payable at the check in. Authentic Luxury Travelers value personalized service and custom itineraries that allow for spontaneous detours. Elizabeth Hansen I'm a strong believer in the value of authentic travel experiences. It doesn't matter if you are traveling to another country or visiting a nearby city. What's important is to connect with local people and experience their culture. I think that authentic travel can be life changing and may even help build a safer, more peaceful global community. I enjoy helping travelers plan custom itineraries that wander off the beaten path instead of following the well-worn trail of tourist sites. This travel tip comes from my friend Shelley in San Diego, California, who stayed in a three-bedroom apartment - a"dream in the heart of Florence" - in December. When she told me how perfect it was for her family, I couldn't resist sharing her comments with you. I love that it's in an upscale area and close to good neighborhood restaurants. It sounds like a great deal and someplace you might want to consider for the next time you travel to Italy. Vacation rentals are great for authentic travelers who want to connect with the community and the local culture. In my opinion they are better than hotel accommodations for 3G (three-generation) family vacations.
