This professionally designed coastal farmhouse was designed to transport you to a magical place where the old country road meets the sandy shoreline. Chic coastal shops, nostalgic candy emporiums, and fresh seafood restaurants are only 2 blocks away on Marine Ave. This 2 story cottage plus detached studio has all the modern amenities and luxuries you'll need to slow down and appreciate your time away on the island. (SLP 13815 and 13816) PLEASE READ: This listing is a cottage plus a back detached studio that accommodates 2 guests (see our listing title "The Nest - Detached Studio on Balboa Island" for pictures). The main cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as pictured in this listing. The detached studio has a queen bed, crib and bathroom as pictured in our Nest listing. The studio is located on the same lot as the main cottage and is located above the detached garage (accessed via a stairway). If you do not require the studio during your stay please let us know so you can receive a discount of 20% off the nightly rate as well as $100 off the cleaning fee. Please note, if you do not require the studio, the studio will be available to book for other guests. The short term permit number for the detached studio is SLP 13816. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have concerning the 2 spaces. ABSOLUTELY NO EVENTS, PARTIES or LARGE GATHERINGS. This includes bridal showers, baby showers, etc... No exceptions. Our home is only for a small group that want a relaxing trip on the Island in a quiet residential area. The maximum occupancy for the main cottage is 7 guests and the studio accommodates an additional 2 guests. Total occupancy is 9. There is ongoing construction on the Island to put utility lines underground. While the construction is not on our street please be aware that there may be some traffic delays in getting around the Island. There are voice activated Amazon Echos throughout the home for your convenience. All the devices have the shutter closed over the camera. The slider button on top of the device should be positioned to the right. You may also unplug the devices if you would prefer not to use them during your stay. We are flexible with our check-in and check-out times and will work with you, to the best of our abilities, to accommodate any requests.
