The O&W Trail House is a renovated 1870's farm house. It is perfectly situated at the entrance to the O&W rail trail in Cottekill, NY just minutes from High Falls, Stone Ridge and Rosendale. Both New Paltz and Kingston are 15 minutes away. The home perfectly balances the historic farmhouse feel with modern décor and amenities including a large outdoor hot tub. An open concept chefs kitchen is fully stocked and makes for a perfect setting to enjoy quality time with friends and family. The house is a 2 level farm house full of windows that let in the natural light and is just steps away from the O&W rail trail. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms including 1 master bedroom with a full bathroom , 2 additional bedrooms and another full bathroom. Downstairs you will find the 4th bedroom with an adjoining full bathroom , a chefs kitchen, large dining area, living room with a wood burning fireplace and a washer dryer. The house has a large outdoor hot tub and a fence around half of the property making it private. It sits on 2 acres of land which can be used for your enjoyment. In the warmer months make use of the outdoor firepit, wrap around porch and grill. The kitchen has all cooking essentials and basic pantry goods. Bed linens and towels are provided as well. There is strong wifi and a smart tv as well as a wireless speaker. You will find a ping pong table, dart board, a kids mountain bike and a men’s mountain bike for use in the barn. Hosts live just minutes away and are committed to providing an exceptional stay. The house is centrally located in Cottekill, NY just minutes from High Falls, Rosendale, and Stone Ridge. New Paltz and Kingston are just a quick 15 minute drive in either direction. The O&W rail trail is just across from the house and serves as the perfect trail for all levels of activity- whether you wish for a long run, bike ride or leisurely stroll the rail trail is suitable for all. For the more adventurous the Mohonk Preserve offers incredible rock scrambles, vigorous hikes and world famous rock climbing. In the winter enjoy skiing just 60 minutes away at the nearby ski resorts of Windham, Hunter and Bellayre. The local towns offer something for everyone. It is recommended that you have a car to get around in upstate NY. There are several public transportation options to get you here but once here a car is essential. For anyone traveling up from NYC: Adirondack Trailways out of The Port Authority has a stop in Rosendale, NY and is my recommendation for the most direct and closest drop off. Amtrak stops in Rhinecliff just 30 minutes away Metro North stops in Poughkeepsie just 35 minutes away
