Own the sunset while you stay in the Mohawk cabin. Enjoy the incredible view from your window and wake up with clouds under your feet and birds singing. This is a pet friendly cabin and it has a king size bed. Make s’more or take a nap in your hammock. Grill at sunset while enjoying a glass of wine at your stump cocktail table looking directly at Mt. Greylock. Use our private trail to hike to spruce hill. Reconnect with nature and breathe! Share nothing but the sunset! You have access to our private summit, The cabin, the bbq area, the picnic table, the stump table, Lea's Landing, the bistro table and the outdoor lounge area including the firepit and the hammock. Guest is welcome to explore our entire summit, the lookout, the trails and the wigwam coffeehouse (seasonal: open May-October). We are usually at the coffeehouse so please stop by if you need anything or would like to share your story. Wayne is a local boy born and raised in North Adams and he can direct you anywhere you'd like to go. I run the kitchen and the gift shop on weekends and can make you some healthy and delicious treats after a long hike or bike ride. Perched on the western summit of the Hoosac Range Mountains, the Wigwam Western Summit is a historic property that has offered travelers on the Mohawk Trail (Route 2) a place to stop to enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains of 3 states since 1914. The view from the cabin as the sun sets over the Taconic Mountain is what inspires artists, poets, photographers and everyday romantics to note and share this beautiful moment. The location is amazing and the bonus is the Wigwam Coffee House which is on the property. You are never far from the best cold brew or pour over coffee, home made fudge or a New England Whoopie pie! Mass MOCA, Clark Art, downtown North Adams and MCLA are just minutes away down the mountain. Also not far from Williamstown. Relax and write your own story here! The cabins on the summit are more like tiny homes that has everything you need: a comfortable and clean bed, pillows, linen and towels, a shower, toilet and sink. A window AC for when it's hot and an electric baseboard heater for those cool autumn nights. Instead of a gym we are located at the trail head of 2 major trail systems: 1. The Mohawk Mahican Trail and the 2. Hoosac Range Trail. Instead of an indoor living room each cabin is equipped with an outdoor picnic area, a private firepit, a private hammock and a charcoal grill. Instead of an indoor living room we give you a slice of our private forest. The cell signal is very strong (cell tower is on the mountain top) however the WIFI is spotty on the summit because we are the only business on the summit and service providers provide limited service. We have installed 4 separate WIFI networks and created our own WIFI mesh network but none of them has 99.99 reliability and availability. If you cannot leave your laptop and need WIFI access you can come to the Wigwam Coffeehouse to use ours at no charge. If you need WIFI all the time you should probably either stay home or go to one of the larger hotels in town. You need a car to get around.
